Mixing and measuring is full of hands-on learning. Children pour, stir, scoop, count, compare and experiment as they explore how ingredients change and work together.

Through these everyday experiences, children build early maths and science skills, fine motor strength, language, concentration and confidence. Our Educators love turning simple moments into meaningful learning.

Proud moments like these remind us of the importance of building meaningful connections within our community. 💙

Our children recently enjoyed a special visit with our local aged care friends from Narangba Aged Care, welcoming them into their kindergarten room and proudly showing them around. Together, they shared lots of smiles while creating with playdough, putting on puppet shows, painting side by side, and finishing the morning with a fun science experiment!

It was wonderful to see the children and our elderly visitors learning from one another, sharing conversations, laughter, and the joy of play. These intergenerational experiences help foster kindness, empathy, confidence, and a strong sense of community.

We are so grateful for this growing partnership and can't wait to continue building these special relationships during future visits. 💛👵👴🧒🎨🧪

Sand play is pouring, scooping, digging, building, tipping, transporting, sharing, imagining and experimenting. In the sandpit, children become builders, bakers, gardeners, treasure hunters, engineers and storytellers, often all before morning tea.

Through this kind of open-ended play, children develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, language, creativity, problem solving and social confidence. A bucket can become a cake tin. A stick can become a writing tool. A mound of sand can become a castle, a volcano, a dinosaur nest or a very important construction site.

At Sesame Lane Narangba Cotton Tree Drive, we love experiences that give children the freedom to explore, imagine and create their own learning, one scoop at a time.

Our nursery spaces are thoughtfully created to feel calm, gentle and secure, giving our youngest children room to explore the world at their own pace. With soft play areas, natural light, carefully chosen resources and warm, responsive educators close by, babies are supported through those beautiful little moments that matter so much. Reaching, rolling, sitting, standing, babbling, laughing, connecting and discovering. Every toy, every interaction and every shared smile has purpose. In our nursery, learning begins through relationships, trust, comfort and play.

"Show us how it is done, Miss Mardi, heels and all!"
In our Dedicated Kindergarten Playground, the Ninja Ropes become so much more than a balancing challenge. One moment they are a bridge across crocodile waters, the next they are a mountain climb, a rescue mission, a confidence test, a team challenge or a stage for brave little “look what I can do!” moments. We love creating spaces where children can move, imagine, challenge themselves and feel proud of what their bodies and minds can do.
