🔴🔴🔴 Congratulations, Yala!! 🔴🔴🔴

A historic first ever Faction Carnival win for the red of Yala. Well done to Doorn Doorn and Yakkan for pushing right to the end.

It was a fantastic day today with all students showing remarkable sporting values and a wealth of talent on show. You truly did yourselves and the school proud.

Thank you to all the parents helping set up this morning, all the spectators cheering everyone on and all the staff for making today so great. A huge shout out to Mr Mac for all the hard work put in behind the scenes.

Our Yala Faction Captains for 2026, Dom and Harper leading the team by example, lifting the trophy with pride.

📚✨ Once upon a time at Burns Beach Primary School…

Book Week magic was everywhere today! It was wonderful to see so many of our students dressed as favourite characters and bringing their books to life. 👑🐉📖

A little bit of fairytale magic, a lot of creativity and plenty of smiles. Happy Children’s Book Week, BBPS! ✨

Earlier this term, some of our students in Year 4-6 competed in the School Sport WA Soccer Carnival in the ‘Open Division’. The team represented the school with pride and showed fantastic effort and teamwork throughout the day, reaching the semi-final.

A big shoutout to our goalkeeper, Orlando, who was awarded ‘Goalkeeper of the Tournament’. Great performance, Orlando! Here he is receiving his medal.

Wrapping Up a Wonderful Semester! ✨

Congratulations to the students who have truly lived our school values — Curious, Caring, Creative, Courageous, and Connected — throughout the term. You’ve helped make this semester such a positive and inspiring one 💛

To celebrate their achievements, these students enjoyed a special High Tea with Mrs Navarrete. A beautiful way to recognise their efforts 🌸☕️

Our teddy bears had a wonderful sleepover at Kindy last night! 🧸✨ 😴

After a busy evening of adventures, stories and fun, the teddies are now tucked up in their cosy beds and still fast asleep.

We can’t wait to see the students’ faces when they discover what their teddy bears got up to!

The future is in good hands!

This afternoon I popped into Room 19 at Burns Beach Primary School to chat to some very engaged and interested Year 4 students about politics, what government does and my roles as the Member for Joondalup!

The students posed some really interesting and insightful questions, and are already well on their way to being happy, engaged and productive citizens in the community!
