πŸš¨πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί HELP TEAM TASMANIA MAKE AUSTRALIAN GREENPOWER HISTORY! πŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸš¨

This October, a group of young Tasmanians from Burnie will travel to the United Kingdom to do something no Australian team has ever done before…

🏎️⚑ Team Tasmania will become the FIRST Australian team ever to compete at the Greenpower International Final at Goodwood Motor Circuit.

And for these students, this moment has been more than three years in the making.

The members of Team Tasmania were also the first students in Australia to ever participate in Greenpower.

They were there at the beginning. They helped take the first steps, build the first cars, learn through every challenge, race in the earliest Australian events, and grow alongside a program that has since begun reaching young people and schools around the country.

Now, more than three years later, that journey is taking them from Burnie to Goodwood β€” representing Tasmania and Australia on the international stage.

It is hard to imagine a group more deserving of this opportunity.

These students have committed years to learning, building, problem-solving, testing, racing and improving. They have helped prove what Greenpower can become in Australia, and now they have the chance to line up alongside teams from around the world at one of the biggest Greenpower events anywhere.

This is so much bigger than an electric car race.

It is about engineering, innovation, teamwork, resilience and ambition.

It is about young people from regional Tasmania seeing that their ideas, skills and hard work can take them anywhere.

And it is about showing other young Australians what is possible.

πŸ’š Now we need your help to get them there.

Getting our team, equipment and everything required to compete from Tasmania to the UK is a huge undertaking. We have launched a fundraising campaign to help with the significant costs of travel, accommodation, transport, logistics and competing overseas.

Every contribution matters.

Whether it is $5, $20, $50, $100 or more, every donation helps us make this extraordinary opportunity possible and reduces the burden on the students and families involved.

And if donating isn’t possible, please share this post. Helping us tell their story is incredibly valuable too.

These were the first Greenpower students in Australia.

Now they are about to become the first Australian Greenpower team to race at the International Final.

More than three years of work, commitment and belief has led to this moment.

Let’s make sure they arrive at Goodwood knowing that Tasmania β€” and Australia β€” is behind them.
