Inside Indie this week we are focusing on the ability to Manage Conflict.

This is such a valuable skill and one that utilises skills we've already learned this term such as respectful communication!
It's important that we understand that not everyone is going to agree 100% of the time and therefore disagreements will happen. It's how we hold ourselves and move through these difficult conversations that assist in developing the skills required to manage conflict respectfully.

Mental health is such a huge part of our wellbeing so the least we can do is to try and look after it see if anyone else needs some extra support.

Looking at ahead to our weekly focus where we are looking at how we interact with others🪴

When entering the workforce, we must be prepared to work well with a range of other people. To be successful, we need to accept and respect our peers, colleagues, friends. Through this change in mindset, we develop important skills such as teamwork, the ability to resolve conflict and disagreements respectfully, to contribute positively in group settings.

Think about what you might bring to the teamwork table. What makes you a good teammate? 💫

"We're all mad here..." and what a wonderful day it was!
Our student-led Mad Hatter's Tea Party was filled with delicious treats prepared by students, plenty of teamwork, and a whole lot of creativity. To top it all off, we welcomed a delegation of Indie School visitors from the UK, giving the day a touch of real-life Harry Potter magic!

Be our guest, be our guest, put our classics to the test!

The menu is set, and from Monday through to Thursday we are serving up some classic book-themed feeds inspired by beloved stories and characters.

Dust off your finest attire on Thursday, dress up in your fanciest finery, and join us for a whimsical Mad Hatter Tea Party Lunch as we lean into our Book Week festivities. Expect plenty of fun, creativity, and a dining experience that's a little bit mad and a whole lot magical!
