Strikeforce gym's fighter for September, is one that pleases me a lot as a coach, in watching the growth of an athlete over the last few months.
Bryony became the first Australian 🇦🇺 fighter to become the Rajadarmnern Champion, and defiantly did it style, coming back from 2 rounds down to show what heart and desire can do when you really want and believe in the process and yourself. So it's my honour to announce Bryony Soden is fighter of the month 🙏🥊💯

Most recently, Bryony Soden added another major achievement to the gym’s history, defeating Mexico’s Laura Burgos at RWS 212 in Bangkok to capture the prestigious Rajadamnern Stadium Women’s Bantamweight Championship! 🇹🇭🏆

From Queensland to the world stage, Strikeforce Muaythai continues to showcase the strength of Australian Muaythai and the dedication it takes to develop champions.

The World Muaythai Council congratulates Mark Pease, the entire Strikeforce team and every athlete who has contributed to this incredible legacy since 1988.

strikeforce_gym_australia Being a coach in muaythai for as long as I have, has given me a lot of highs n lows over the years, but when moments like these are created from hard grind and work ethic you can't help but get emotional, and yes in the last picture I was In tears.
Because I know the work that goes behind each athlete, what they endure and sacrifice to get to the top of the sport, but that also goes for coaches as well, the pad rounds the chats the motivations the travel, being away from family, is it worth it you say ?
I would live this life 1000 times over for these moments, and I know all who train with myself and Darren Freiberg would say the same thing.
Yes we have achieved WBC, WMC, WMO WKBF, ISKA, YOKKAO, RISE and now Rajadamnern titles with both female and male athletes, so is it time to step aside and let others take over ?
Let me just finish with this, 1 am here for life so don't count the days make the days count and believe me there is a lot more to come from Mark Pease

History was made the moment she decided it would be.

Bryony Soden has become the first Australian in history to win a Rajadamnern title, and if you know her, you know exactly how she did it.

The IFMA family has seen this before. Riyadh, the World Combat Games, that same quiet, locked-in focus, that same ability to dig deeper the moment the fight demands it. Against a champion as decorated as Laura Burgos, she found that gear again. Watch her eyes as the rounds went on and you can see the shift happening in real time, the adjustment, the belief, the refusal to be anywhere but fully present in that moment.

“I believed in myself,” she said. And that belief is the whole story. Not the scoreboard, not the pressure of the moment, just a fighter who trusted her own ability to adapt when it counted most.
