Thank you to the Burleigh Community Men's Shed for inviting us to their morning tea to celebrate their new acquisition - a brand new band saw donated by .

It was lovely to meet the many of the Men's Shed community members and see their space, where they use their skills to make all sorts of things to support local community groups. Ours included!

This week’s unexpected visitor? A koala in the tree! The children were absolutely fascinated watching from a safe distance as our furry friend made itself right at home.

Moments like these are such a beautiful reminder of the incredible wildlife we get to share our world with. 💚

Our much-loved cubby house has had a beautiful makeover! 🏠

Over the recent holidays, the incredible team from the Burleigh Men's Shed generously restored our beloved cubby house, and we couldn't be more grateful.

With a brand new tin roof, a fresh coat of paint, and a beautifully carved wooden street sign, it has been lovingly brought back to life. 🏡❤️

This special space has been at the heart of so many imaginative adventures, and the children have been absolutely over the moon to have it back at kindy!

A heartfelt thank you to Warren and the wonderful volunteers from the Burleigh Men's Shed for donating your time, skills and kindness to our community. Your generosity has created something that will be enjoyed by generations of little learners.

🎶 Music with Mark! 🎶

We were so lucky to have one of our wonderful kindy dads, Mark, visit us and share his love of music with the children. As a music teacher, he introduced us to a range of instruments, sparking curiosity, creativity and plenty of excitement!

The children were completely engaged, enjoying a fun singalong, dancing together and even requesting some of their favourite songs. 🎤💃🕺

Music is so much more than entertainment—it plays a vital role in early childhood development. It supports language, memory, coordination, emotional expression and creativity, while engaging many areas of the brain all at once. Experiences like these help children build confidence, connection and a lifelong love of learning through play.

A huge thank you to Mark for sharing your time, talent and passion with us. We loved every minute! 💛🎶

Our little voices matter too.

Today we're sharing the signs our children lovingly created for the protest rally, showing just how important our local library is to them and our wider kindy community.

Located just a short walk from our Kindy, the library is so much more than a building. It's a place where stories come to life, curiosity grows, and a lifelong love of reading begins. Each year, our children visit the library on an excursion, creating special memories while discovering the magic of books and learning.

We stand with our families and community in supporting this invaluable local resource. We hope our children's messages remind everyone just how much this space means to the next generation.

Beautiful morning for a working bee!

Thanks to all of our wonderful volunteers for giving up their Saturday sleep in to do few important jobs around kindy.

Hermann Vorster MP even turned up to lend a hand because he’s a top bloke. 👏

Our annual working bee is always a great morning for the grown ups to work together for a common goal, have a chat and make some connections.

Thanks to our Maintenance Officer Andrew for leading the way, and Sy for providing a trailer and doing the tip run at the end.

ALL IN Celebrating National Reconciliation Week 2026 at kindy.

Last week, our kindy children and staff acknowledged this important week by sharing stories and collaborating on a special NRW project - turning our daily Acknowledgement of Country into a beautiful artwork.

NRW reminds us that it's time for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day. It is our responsibility to educate our young learners about the importance of taking action to make change.

At Burleigh Heads Community Kindy, we are ALL IN.
