Homestay is an essential component of a successful study tour program! These rich experiences that our homestay families provided only happened in the last couple of weeks! These experiences, the amazing diversity and opportunities for our international students is just incredible! I can’t thank our wonderful homestay families enough ! How cool is it that our students are welcomed so warmly and how wonderful are the experiences they enjoyed. 😻it’s a two way street with our homestay families also learning about the culture of their students! It’s been a huge couple of weeks here for us at hence the delayed posts! We welcomed our students from Japan staying at two of our amazing partner schools for a term! They are enjoying the experience and of course nervous but embracing the challenge 🥰. Not a bad way to start your first week on the Gold Coast! Leo is from Italy and can’t wait to start school tomorrow. His homestay family is taking great care of him. In his words “ i love the school, can’t wait to start tomorrow! My host mum took me yesterday at 6 in the morning to the sea to see the sunrise, it was a really special moment it was amazing, I took very beautiful pictures”

And just like that the school trip come to a close and those life long memories about their school trip to Australia have been imbedded into their memory banks! Let’s hope like my exchange experience this can plant the seeds for some future international experiences and extra motivation to study English 😍.
