🌼 Spring Vacation Care at BASE 1270!

Looking for something fun for the kids these school holidays? BASE 1270 has a fantastic program planned from Monday 21 September – Friday 2 October, with plenty to keep everyone busy!

There’s something different each day, including Mexican Monday, Footy Fever, gymnastics and rock climbing, indoor sports, dog education and training, a magic show, Victoria Park, Pyjama Day and Wheels Day!

Bookings are now open. Check out the program below for all the activities, excursion details, costs and important information.

🌱Playgroup – this Wednesday!

Buninyong Community Playgroup has a special Father’s Day celebration planned this week, including a visit from Lou from Food is Free Inc to make their very own worm farm! 🪱

There’ll also be morning tea, craft, seed planting, plenty of play and lots of fun getting hands-on with worms and composting.

🎭 What a show! 🎭

And just like that, our 2026 School Concert is a wrap!

What an amazing few days. We are so proud of our students, who did such a fantastic job across all three performances. They danced, sang and performed their way through the shows and were absolute superstars on stage!

A HUGE thank you to our staff for the enormous amount of work that went on behind the scenes to make it all happen, to all our volunteers and to our families for all of your support along the way.

We hope everyone who came along to Founders Theatre enjoyed the show! It was so lovely to hear all of the positive feedback and comments from families and audience members at the end of each performance.

From Bye Bye Bye to our big finale, the kids have been working hard and are ready to take you on a Journey Through Worlds! 🌎✨

Those seats might be empty today, but we can’t wait to see them filled with our families over the next two days. We’re ready to say Hi Hi Hi! 👋🎭

One more sleep!!! 🎶🕺🏼💃today’s dress rehearsal was soooo much fun and it was fabulous seeing it all start to come together. A huge and very heartfelt thanks to our volunteer choreographers, Lucy and Aylah, for all you have done for our students. They are just loving their dances and we know how much time and effort went into planning and teaching them. Thank-you also to Dancemakers, who generously donated many of our amazing costumes. We have some students feeling super special and glamorous thanks to you! And finally, a super-huge thanks to all our volunteer family members who have attended working bees, taken on costuming and prop-making jobs and volunteered backstage. We couldn’t do all of this without you!!! ❤️ We can’t wait to journey with you all tomorrow and Friday!

Today we celebrate Principals’ Day and recognise our wonderful school leaders.

A huge congratulations to Buninyong Primary School past student Sam Rizzo (Class of 2012) on winning bronze in the Men's 1500m T54 at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow! 🥉🇦🇺

What an incredible achievement - well done, Sam.

Samuel Rizzo has claimed Australia's first medal of the final day in Glasgow, holding on for bronze in the Men's 1500m T54 in a time of 3:18.61.

In the mix from the gun, the 26-year-old delivered when it mattered most to secure the podium in his second Commonwealth Games campaign. 💚💛
