Meet some of our Malbon team - Penny & Helen ❤️
If you’ve spent time in the Malbon, you’ve likely already met these two.. our Malbon gals, our steady hands, and two women whose experience and warmth set the tone for everything we do.
They bring decades of retail and customer service expertise, and they offer that rare mix of knowledge, intuition and genuine care that makes every visit feel personal.
Penny is a familiar face to many. A Bungendore Icon - raising her family here and contributing to our community in countless ways. After many decades serving customers visiting the Bungendore Woodworks Gallery, she’s woven into the shopping fabric of this town. Malbon owner Tilly first worked alongside her at the Woodworks twenty years ago, and being reunited in retail again feels like a full‑circle moment - still learning from her calm confidence, still grateful for her steady presence.
And our Helen.. ❤️ Helen is the kind of person every business wishes they had - a retail legend with an instinct for people and a knack for making every customer feel welcome. She lifts the bar on service, brings energy to long days, and shows up with the kind of generosity and good humour that quietly strengthens a whole team. She’s one of those humans who makes spaces better just by being in them.
Both raised their families here. Both are “retired” (loosely). Both continue to give their time, care and magic to this little Bungendore shop we love.
We’re incredibly lucky to have them - in the Malbon, and in our village community ❤️✨
