Functions convened by the Society include seminars by invited speakers and students on a range of scientific topics. The Society is also socially active, organizing and supporting functions throughout the year. Thank you to everyone who attended our 2 day event last week focused on science communication and how to improve our Sci Comm skills! 💬

Here are a few pictures from some of the insightful workshops across the two days. We’re all grateful for the wonderful speakers taking the time and effort to help make this event happen. The committees involved have also received such positive feedback from the attendees and speakers over the last few days 🥳 We’re glad the retreat provided such useful information!

The BioChem Society invites you to our next upcoming event on July 19th at 7.30pm hosted by 🔭 Join us for the asteroid quest show, as part of the after dark planetarium series ☄️ Followed by a free entry into grazeland afterwards! Please register ASAP so we can confirm numbers, we hope to see you all there for a wonderful social event!

That’s a wrap! Thank you everyone for attending our morning tea event and bringing along your baked goods. New event alert! 🔔 The BioChem Society is hosting a morning tea on the 23rd of May as part of 's Biggest Morning Tea 🫖☕️ $2 entrance fee for students and $5 for staff, with all funds raised donated. Come along with your tea or coffee, enjoy some delicious treats, and all attendees will be entered into a raffle giveaway 🎟️🥳

Thank you to everyone who attended our trivia night last week at MoonDog brewery! 🤓 It was a fun night filled with general knowledge and drinks 🍻We managed to finish 10th out of the 20 teams competing. We can’t wait to run some more entertaining events in the coming months, stay tuned! 👀
