A Symphony of Stories at Twinkle Academy! 📚✨

Last week, our classrooms came alive with stories, creativity and a whole lot of reading fun as we celebrated Australian Book Week!

🌟Our School Readiness students created their own special bookmarks, explored our Book Fair and chose books that sparked their interest.

🎭 Our Costume Corner gave children the chance to step into the world of their favourite book characters.

✍️ And our Tutoring students got involved too, choosing books they genuinely enjoyed and sharing their thoughts through thoughtful Book Reviews.

It was such a fun and engaging week — and we loved seeing our students explore books, express their ideas and celebrate their love of reading. 🧡

Because when children find stories they connect with, learning becomes something they want to be part of. ✨

This holiday, every day is a new MISSION! 🚀
Children can look forward to a variety of exciting experiences including science experiments, slime making, cooking, treasure hunts, creative design, sensory activities, building challenges and much more.👏🏼☀️

✏️ Writing is FUN! 🌟

Beginner Persuasive Writing at Twinkle Academy

Today, our young writers stepped into the world of persuasive writing with a question everyone had something to say about:

“Do you think homework is good or bad?” 🤔📚

Before putting pencil to paper, each child chose their own position and thought about why they believed it. They then bravely shared their opinions with their peers, listened to different perspectives, and developed their ideas through discussion.

From there, we turned those big ideas into structured writing! ✍️

Our beginner writers explored how persuasive writing works, including:

* developing a clear opinion and position
* organising ideas into introduction, arguments and conclusion
* using reasons and examples to support their point of view
* choosing persuasive language and strong vocabulary
* using linking words such as because, therefore, firstly and in my opinion
* learning how to make their writing sound clear, convincing and confident

At Twinkle Academy, writing isn’t just about putting sentences on a page. We want children to learn how to think independently, organise their ideas, express their opinions and communicate with confidence. 🌟
