IMPORTANT NOTICE: Queensland Police Exercise – CQUniversity Bundaberg campus
The Queensland Police Service (QPS) will be undertaking a training exercise on the CQUniversity Bundaberg campus on Tuesday, 25 August 2026.
The exercise will see QPS use the Bundaberg campus for this activity between the hours of 6 am – 5 pm. Due to the nature of this activity, the campus will be closed during these hours. Please read on for more information and instructions.
About the event
The QPS will run several training activities using campus facilities on the day. The activity will take place in Buildings 1, Building 3 and Building 5 and the grounds surrounding these buildings. Please do not attempt to attend the CQU Bundaberg campus during these hours.
During the exercise we will be testing CQUniversity emergency alert systems. Therefore, it is possible you may receive multiple test alerts via the SafeZone app and accompanying email and SMS services. You do not need to do anything when you receive these messages.
Between now and the day of the exercise you may see police and police vehicles on the CQU Bundaberg campus as they will be preparing for the activity. There is no need to be concerned or alarmed.
Campus Access
Afterhours swipe card access to the CQU Bundaberg campus will be restored from 5 pm on the day of the exercise.
Normal campus operations will resume on Wednesday, 26 August 2026.

💛 Help us make a difference this National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day.

From Monday 3 August – Friday 7 August, we’re inviting our students and staff to support local children and families by donating brand-new items.

All donations will be provided to a local community organisation, who will distribute them to families in need right here in our community.

Whether it’s a new book, toy, art supplies, clothing or other essential items, every donation is an opportunity to brighten a child’s day and show the power of community.

📅 Donation Drive: Monday 3 August – Friday 7 August - Find us at Building 1 of Bundaberg CQU.

🎁 Please ensure all donated items are brand new.

Together, we can make a meaningful difference for local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and their families.
