🚗 IMPORTANT REMINDER – STAFF CAR PARK 🚗

A reminder to all parents and carers that our staff car park is strictly out of bounds to parents/carers unless specifically instructed by a staff member to enter.

For the safety of our students, families and staff, we ask that parents and carers park outside the school grounds in the designated parking areas when:

- Dropping students off in the morning
- Collecting students in the afternoon
- Visiting the school at any time throughout the school day

🚫 Please do not enter or park in the staff car park during drop-off or pick-up times, or at any time throughout the school day.

The movement of vehicles within our school grounds creates an unnecessary safety risk, particularly during our busy arrival and departure times. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in helping us keep our students safe.

📱 A text message has also been sent to all families regarding this matter.

🩵 We’re excited to share that IMPACT Community Services Pathways to Early Learning & Development (PELD) team will be joining us at Bluey’s Playgroup!

Bluey’s Playgroup runs Mondays from Week 2–9 each term with Chappy Ash, a qualified Early Childhood Educator, alongside the PELD team’s qualified early childhood educators.

PELD supports families across Bundaberg and the North Burnett with children aged 0–5 years, creating positive early learning experiences that support children’s development and help prepare them for school.

We’re looking forward to bringing these wonderful educators together to provide families with opportunities to play, connect, learn and access support within our local community. 💙

💙💛 Happy Australian Principals Day, Mr Crowther! 💛💙

Today we celebrate our wonderful Principal, Mr Colin Crowther, and recognise just how lucky we are to have him leading the Bundaberg South State School community.

Mr Crowther is incredibly dedicated to making sure every student feels valued, supported and has a wonderful experience at school. He genuinely cares about our students, our families and our staff, and this shines through in everything he does.

Of course, being a Principal isn’t all meetings and paperwork! Mr Crowther is definitely a big kid at heart. 😄 He loves having a laugh, getting involved and, whenever he gets the chance, heading outside to play sport with our students. 🏀🏉🏃‍♂️ We’re not sure who enjoys it more — Mr Crowther or the kids!

His sense of humour, kindness and willingness to get involved are just some of the many reasons he is so loved by our students, staff, families and the wider Bundaberg South State School community.

Mr Crowther, thank you for everything you do for our school and, most importantly, for our kids. We hope you know how appreciated you are and how lucky we feel to have you leading our South Side family.
