Today's lunch break was nothing short of entertaining as our senior students challenged our staff to a futsal match. Both teams eagerly took to the court, putting their best foot forward. The students snapped up their first points early in the game, and once they got going, the staff just couldn't catch up. Well done to the students who won 4-1! ⚽

Today our Year 7 and 8 students put on their investigation hats for a hands-on lesson in forensic science👮‍♂️ They worked together to solve a murder, uncovering key details while following a trail of evidence left behind by their suspect. They practiced matching impressions, prints and ballistics, while learning more about DNA profiling and autopsy reports 🧬

This week, Year 7s dived deeper into the Ancient World while Year 8s took a closer look at Medieval Europe and Japan, thanks to a visit from The Living History troupe. The presenters took on roles as historical characters and also invited students to step into the past and engage in “combat”, dance, archery, and games from the times!

Celebrating QATSIF Success
We are proud to congratulate two of our students who graduated from the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Foundation (QATSIF) program last week. Throughout their senior schooling journey, both students were successful recipients of the prestigious QATSIF Senior Scholarship, which provides valuable support to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students achieve their educational goals.
Their graduation is a testament to their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to their studies. We celebrate this significant achievement and look forward to seeing the many successes that lie ahead for them. Well done!

Enjoy a taste of the performances from BLOOM, our Arts & Technology Showcase evening! 🎭🥁🎶
A mash-up of drama, drums, intrigue and delightful song - all performed by our talented (and very funny!) BCC students as they reprised some of their assessment pieces during last week’s showcase.
From the dramatic to the musical and everything in between, BLOOM gave our students the chance to take their work from the classroom to the stage and share it with our College community. 🌸

An amazing effort from our Years 7–10 Basketball team, who competed at the CBSQ Shield tournament this weekend, finishing an impressive 6th place against some of Queensland’s top schools battling for a place at the Major Tournament.
While the results on court were fantastic, it was the unity across the team that stood out, with our Years 9–10 boys leading and encouraging our younger players throughout the tournament. Beyond basketball, reflections on Ephesians 1:4–5 challenged our players to consider what it means to live as God’s children, both on and off the court.
A fantastic weekend of basketball, leadership, unity and faith. Well done, Lions!
