During a large group experience, the children worked together to make playdough, sharing ideas, taking turns, and following the recipe as a team.
This collaborative experience encouraged communication, cooperation, and problem-solving while supporting children's sense of belonging and contributions to the group.

Providing children with opportunities to jump, climb, balance, and explore through active play is essential for developing gross motor skills. These experiences strengthen coordination, balance, body awareness, and confidence while supporting children's physical wellbeing, independence, and engagement in learning through play.

Today we say goodbye to the beautiful Miss Ange. Miss Ange has been our beloved chef for the past 10 months. We will miss you and your food (especially the 2am inspired sweet treats). The YMCA Childcare and Kindergarten wishes you all the best on your travels.

Today we say goodbye to Miss Tess. Miss Tess has been with the Y for 14 years and will be greatly missed. Throughout her time we have seen her grow and blossom into the beautiful educator and leader she is today. We wish you all the best from YMCA Childcare and Kindergarten in your new adventure!

Today we participated in professional development with Childspace Early Learning. Toni and Robin were incredible teachers and we learnt some invaluable knowledge to better improve our teachings and play spaces. Keep an eye out for changes to our beautiful spaces indoors and outdoors.

Today is National Simultaneous Storytime.
Every year a featured book is read at 12pm across Australia.
This year the book is Luna Roo: the Kangaroo Baller.
National Simultaneous Storytime encourages reading and literacy through shared experiences.
Luna Roo is a book about courage and determination.
