What a wonderful month it's been at Chrysalis! ☀️

From Mother's Day celebrations 🌸to a visit from Healthy Harold Life Ed Qld 🦒and a tooth fairy educational session 1300SMILES our children have been growing, learning and having fun.

🦒 What a great opportunity our Emus Kindergarten classes have had over the last week to meet Healthy Harold and experience their first Life Ed Qld session. 🍎🍐🍌

🥫🥫 CANS FOR CHRISTMAS 🎄🎄

This Christmas, Chrysalis is joining with our wider BCC family to help those in need and collect cans for Global Care Bundaberg 🌟

There are many people in our region doing it tough and we hope to assist Global Care respond to the high demand for food hampers over the Christmas period.

🕯To add a Christmas twist, donations of store-bought packaged Christmas puddings are also welcome.

🔔If you would like to participate, please bring your cans and puddings to Chrysalis reception by Monday 14 November.

🌿🌻CHRYSALIS COMMUNITY GARDEN – HAVE YOUR SAY📣

We’re creating a brand new garden to be enjoyed by all of our Chrysalis community. 🌼

The future garden will be in the open space next to the Kangaroos playground fence. Ideas include a sensory path,👣 community library,📚music wall,🎵 bug hotel🪵 and native bee hive…. 🐝 what would you like to see?

Come and place a sticker next to your favourite idea (or two) in our Chrysalis reception!

🌱EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATORS' DAY🍰

Today we celebrate Early Childhood Educators' Day - an opportunity to thank the incredible educators who make such a difference in the lives of young children and their families.

BCC Year 6 leaders, some of whom attended Chrysalis, thanked our amazing Chrysalis team for everything they do - along with cake and a card filled with messages from BCC staff. 🫶

We are so thankful for our amazing Chrysalis educators and staff. ❤️

📚BOOK WEEK 2022 📖

We had so much fun celebrating our love for reading and books by dressing up as our favourite book characters for Book Week 2022!

Reading books and storytelling with children is so important and helps in their development of language, emotion, imagination, and in building relationships. We love books and reading at Chrysalis!

🔬SCIENCE WEEK FUN🌋

Our budding Chrysalis scientists enjoyed special activities for National Science Week 2022 including experimenting with volcanoes that erupted in all the colours of the rainbow! 🌈

⭐️PREP CONNECT⭐️

Is your child starting Prep in 2023?

You’re invited to Prep Connect – an engaging and fun program that equips children and their parents for the start of formal schooling.

Held over two morning sessions this August, Prep Connect is for:
▫️families already enrolled in Prep at BCC
▫️families still considering Prep for 2023
▫️families who would like to be better equipped for the transition to Prep, even if they will be attending another school.
