Our Year 3 and 4 R.I. students thoroughly enjoyed an engaging and entertaining puppet show and performance from Quiz Worx during yesterday's religion lesson. A huge thank you to Miriam and Danika from Quiz Worx for coming to Avoca to put on the free performance for our students. We look forward to having you visit again next year.

This Thursday we will be holding our parent information session for those parents who are thinking of enrolling their children in our Prep program for 2027! We also have a number of upcoming transition sessions planned to help make the next step in your child's education seemless. For the first time in our school’s history, Avoca has been crowned Bundaberg Champions Overall at the Bundaberg Athletics Competition. To make the achievement even more remarkable, our students also won B School Ball Games, Overall Ball Games, B School Aggregate Points and Overall Boys Points.

These results are a credit to the outstanding effort, determination and sportsmanship shown by our students across the two days. We are incredibly proud of the way they competed and represented our school.

Thank you to Mr Ash, Mrs Ash, Mrs Vuichoud and all staff who helped prepare and support the team.

Most importantly, congratulations to our students. You have made Avoca history!

On Friday we celebrated Under 8s Day! Thank you so much to Mrs C, staff and our senior student helpers for creating such an engaging experience for our younger students! They had a ball. The only problem was deciding which activity to do first 😄

Today is Australian Primary Principal's Day and we'd like to take a moment to acknowledge the incredible Mr Morley and the heartfelt leadership he provides to our school everyday. Mr Morley's passion for Avoca State School is endless. The support he provides to staff, students and the wider community is a true indication of the kind and compassionate man he is. Principalship is rewarding, but everyday presents a unique set of challenges. Mr Morley places the students, staff and school community at the centre of every decision he makes. We would like to show our appreciation and say a HUGE thank you to Mr Morley.
