Pamper day! 🪒💅💆‍♀️

Shout out to our Certificate III in Individual Support – Disability (CHC33021) students for pampering our staff (and each other) last week.

Beards and legs were shaved, nails were polished and sore muscles were massaged. One student even had his head shaved!

Activities like these help students build confidence, practise personal care skills and prepare for careers in the disability support sector.

A special thank you to trainer Julie for her guidance and mentorship in supporting our students throughout the activity. 🙌

🍽️ From the Fig Tree Café to their first dine-in event

After gaining hands-on experience through IMPACT Community Services' Fig Tree Café, our SIT30622 Certificate III in Hospitality students are preparing to host the Bundaberg Business Women's Network Inc's (BBWN) Drop-In Networking Event (DINE) on 21 October.

The event marks a new challenge as students take their hospitality and customer service skills beyond the café environment.

✨ There was no shortage of relaxation at IMPACT Community Services last week as our latest Certificate III in Individual Support – Ageing (CHC33021) students took charge of pamper day!

From shaving and nail polishing to soothing hand and foot massages, the students pampered both IMPACT staff and each other while putting their practical skills to the test.

Activities like these give students the chance to build confidence, practise client care skills and prepare for work in the aged care sector.

🎓 Congratulations to our Certificate III in Hospitality graduates! 👏

Hospitality is about more than serving food or making coffee. It’s about creating connections and working as a team, and this group embraced that.

Several graduates have already secured employment, a fantastic achievement for the cohort.

This course was also an exciting milestone for Trainer and Assessor Tania Willett, who delivered her first class with IMPACT Community Services. Drawing on decades of hospitality industry experience, Tania helped students build their skills and confidence, and we thank her for supporting this cohort on their journey.

We also thank Member for Burnett Stephen Bennett MP for joining us to celebrate the graduates.
