Another busy week ahead at Bullyard! Here's what's happening around our school.

🏏 Monday - Sporting Schools Cricket | 8:00–9:00am

🧸 Tuesday - Playgroup & Prep Transition Morning | 8:40–9:45am

🏉 Wednesday - Sporting Schools Touch Football | 8:00–9:00am

P&C Meeting | Online via Microsoft Teams from 5.15. The primary focus will be our upcoming 125th Anniversary and we'd love you to be involved - Email [email protected] to get the link and join us.

🎶 Friday - Instrumental Music Lessons Recommence.

Our 125th Anniversary Celebration is fast approaching! We're looking forward to bringing together past and present students, families, staff and community members to celebrate this special milestone in our school's history.

🛍️ Calling All Stallholders! - We're inviting local businesses, community groups and interested stallholders to be part of our anniversary celebrations. If you'd like to hold a stall, please get in touch with the school or our P&C.

A reminder that Term 4 commences this Tuesday 6th October after the Monday Public Holiday. We are looking forward to seeing everyone for what is set to be an incredible final term with Year 6 camp coming up in week 3, our 125th Anniversary celebrations at the end of week 5 as well as high school transition days and end of year events to follow!

Our Playgroup and Prep Transition mornings continue every Tuesday morning across this term. Come along and join us for some fun.

The P&C will be meeting virtually, online via Teams this Wednesday 7th from 5.15pm and you are invited to join us. This meeting will primarily be around final preparations for the 125th Anniversary! If you'd like to be involved, send an email to [email protected] and we'll send you link to join us!

🌟 Welcome to Week 10 of Term 3! 🌟

We have made it to the final week of Term 3! It has been a busy and productive term, and we are looking forward to finishing the week in a fun and positive way. A big thank you to our students, staff and families for all of their hard work and support throughout the term. 💙

🎉 Friday – Last Day of Term 3 & Class Celebration!

To celebrate the end of another fantastic term, students will enjoy a Class Celebration on Friday. We look forward to having some fun together and recognising all of the effort and learning that has taken place throughout Term 3! 🥳

🌟 Welcome to Week 9 of Term 3! 🌟

It is hard to believe that we are already in Week 9 and have just two weeks remaining in Term 3! Our students have been working incredibly hard on their assessments, and we encourage everyone to continue putting in their best effort as we finish the term strongly. 💪📚

📅 What’s Happening This Week

🔬 Tuesday: Science and HASS with Mrs Stevenson.

🇯🇵 Tuesday & Wednesday: Japanese with Mrs Manderson for students in Years 4–6.

🎓 Wednesday: Our Year 6 students will attend Gin Gin State High School for their Transition Day.

⚡ Thursday: Ergon Energy will be visiting Bullyard State School. Due to this visit, there will be no Music lessons this week.

📚 Learning & Assessment

With the end of term quickly approaching, students are continuing to complete their Term 3 assessment tasks. We encourage all students to stay focused, take pride in their work and demonstrate everything they have learned throughout the term. ⭐

🎓 Wednesday 9 September – Gin Gin State High School Transition Day

Our Year 6 students will have the opportunity to attend Gin Gin State High School for the day and participate in a range of activities designed to help them become familiar with the high school environment and prepare for their transition into Year 7.

A reminder to please return any outstanding permission forms as soon as possible.

⚡ Thursday 10 September – Ergon Energy Visit

We are looking forward to welcoming Ergon Energy to Bullyard State School on Thursday. Students will have the opportunity to participate in their school visit and learn some important messages about electricity and electrical safety.

🏁 Friday 18 September – Last Day of Term 3

The final day of Term 3 is quickly approaching! We look forward to finishing what has been another busy and productive term together.

🏆 Congratulations, Alicia! 🏆

A huge congratulations to Alicia on an outstanding achievement at the Wide Bay Trials in Bundaberg on Friday!

Alicia placed 3rd with an impressive throw of 17.21m. This is a fantastic result and a wonderful reward for the hard work, dedication and effort she has put into her sport.

We are incredibly proud of Alicia and all that she has achieved. 💙💛

Wow! The term is moving very quickly — we are already in Week 8! This is an important part of the term, with lots of work happening on assessments as well as a number of exciting events. We also have a short week this week, with Friday being a Pupil Free Day.

RACQ will be visiting Bullyard State School to deliver their Streets Ahead road safety program to our students. Information regarding this visit was sent out last week.

A reminder to families that all Father’s Day Raffle tickets and money need to be returned to school by Thursday 3 September. Thank you to everyone who has supported our raffle by selling tickets — your support is greatly appreciated! 💙💛

Photo packs have been handed out to all students. Students are asked to come dressed in their best school uniform, and photo order envelopes should be returned prior to or on Photo Day – Thursday 27 August.

📖 Tuesday 1 September – Book Week Dress Up Day (CHANGE OF DATE)

Please note that our Book Week Dress Up Day has been changed from Friday 28 August to Tuesday 1 September. This change has been made to allow as many staff and students as possible to participate.

So, you have a few extra days to get those costumes ready! We are looking forward to seeing as many students as possible dressed as their favourite book character. 📚✨
