Today, the children at Kidz First were excited to welcome members of the WA Police Force for a special community visit. We were fortunate to have two police officers, two detectives, and two police cadets spend time with us, sharing their important roles within our community.
The children were fascinated as the officers explained what they do each day to help keep people safe and support the community. They also showed the children some of the equipment they carry while on duty and explained why each item is important in helping them do their job safely and effectively.
One of the highlights of the visit was the opportunity to explore the police paddy wagon. The children were thrilled to see the flashing lights and hear the sirens up close, creating an exciting and memorable hands-on learning experience. There were lots of curious questions, and the officers were more than happy to share their knowledge and engage with the children.
Visits like these help children develop an understanding of the important people and services within our community while building positive relationships with local role models.
We would also like to extend a very special thank you to two of our Kidz First parents who helped organise this wonderful experience for the children. Your support and efforts in coordinating this visit are greatly appreciated and helped make the day such a success.
A heartfelt thank you to the members of the WA Police Force who took the time to visit Kidz First. Your enthusiasm, patience, and willingness to connect with the children made for a truly memorable experience. We greatly appreciate your service and the valuable role you play in keeping our community safe.
