Last week, the Sport Roll Call hosted its first inter-house competition to fuel that competitive school spirit and provide students with a refreshing change from the usual mid-Term 3 routine.
We had 14 teams sign up to compete in the three-on-three basketball competition, which was run during Break 2 on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, with the finals held on Friday. Congratulations to our champion Year 11s from Sandon House, Caleb, Kai and Oscar, who narrowly defeated the Year 12 Seacliff crew to secure their canteen vouchers and valuable house points.
Shout-out to everyone who got involved, players and spectators alike, especially our Year 7 youth, who really stood up against some tall opposition! Up this week, futsal! ๐

This morning, we welcomed the installation of a beautiful new mural that will greet you as you enter our school and Administration area.
Created by Uncle Kevin Butlers artwork, the mural has been thoughtfully combined with our BHS Acknowledgement of Country, creating a meaningful space that reflects connection, culture and belonging.
A wonderful addition to our school and a beautiful way to welcome everyone into BHS

๐๐ถAnother fantastic HPGE Masterclass comes to a close, featuring our brilliant CoS superstars and the incredible Mr Brady. Select students from across our CoS took part in the second day of the Arts HPGE Masterclass, this time with a focus on Music๐ผ๐ธ๐ฅ.
At the start of the day some of our students had not played an instrument at any point in their young lives, but by the time 2pm rolled around almost the entire group was performing in front of our very impressed Principal. We had singers, drummers, piano players and so much more.
Each time we get to host students from our CoS we are blown away by the talent, enthusiasm, confidence and love of learning on display. Each and every student is an incredible ambassador for their respective schools and it is a pleasure to work with them.
A huge thank you to Mr Brady for his incredible Music program that engaged students from start to finish.
We have one more day left in the Arts Masterclass next week and we hope that these young stars will have found value in every moment.
As you will see in one of the accompanying photos the students already seem to be making themselves at home with four of the boys establishing themselves as kings of the BHS castle.

The day provides students with a valuable opportunity to develop their interview skills, confidence and career readiness, while gaining real-world feedback from members of our local community. Your knowledge and experience could make a real difference in helping our students build confidence, skills and career readiness.
Whether you can spare an hour, a couple of hours or the whole day, we would love to have you involved.
