A warm beanie, a cosy scarf, and a big-hearted school community can make a real difference.

Yesterday, Waniora SRC students organised a Beanie and Scarf Day to raise funds for the Wollongong Homeless Hub. Students embraced the opportunity to wear their favourite winter accessories while making a meaningful contribution to support people in need.

We are incredibly proud to announce that our school community raised $216.90 through gold coin donations.

Thank you to everyone who participated and gave so generously. Your kindness will help provide support and hope to members of our local community who need it most.

What an incredible day of learning, creativity and fun at our “Changes in Time” History Day! Students stepped back in time through a range of hands-on experiences including writing on blackboards, hopscotch phonics, making old-fashioned toys and telephones, writing letters, panning for gold, churning butter, treasure hunts, botanist sketching, boat building, diorama presentations and exploring life on the goldfields through games and role play. A huge thank you to our staff, families and special guest speaker (Christian T) for helping bring history to life for our students. Enjoy this little snapshot of the day!
