Celebrating NAIDOC Week – Deadly Door Displays

Following our recent NAIDOC Week celebrations, every class embraced the Deadly Door Display challenge, transforming their classroom doors into vibrant celebrations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art, culture, storytelling and connection to Country.

The creativity and talent on display were truly outstanding. Each class created a unique and meaningful design, showcasing collaboration, creativity and pride.

Our school was certainly brought to life with colour, culture and creativity as we celebrated NAIDOC Week together.

WA Student Assistance Payment 2026

The WA Student Assistance Payment is now available to help families with the cost of sending children to school.

Eligible families can claim:
• $150 for each Kindergarten or Primary School student
• $250 for each Secondary School student

Claims can be made through the ServicesWA app and close Friday 25 September 2026.

To apply, you'll need your child's WA Student Number (WASN), along with their enrolment details and your bank account information.

Kindergarten families: An email has been sent by the Administration Office with your child's WASN.

Chinese Traditional Festival: Duanwu Jie, the Dragon Boat Festival

To celebrate the Duanwu Jie (端午节), the Dragon Boat Festival, which was on Friday, 19th June (5th May of Lunar calendar), students from Pre-Primary to Year 6 participated in a variety of fun and hands-on cultural activities. Through poems, storytelling, cultural and traditional crafts, such as: Dragon Boat Paper colouring, folding, racing; paper “Zongzi (rice dumpling)”making, real Zongzi tasting, “Xiangbao (fragrant Sachet)” making, students explored the rich history and traditions of this important Chinese festival while developed a deeper appreciation of Chinese culture.
