A final day to remember 💙

The Class of 2026 celebrated their final day with a farewell breakfast hosted by the Old Saints’ Committee, a tree planting ceremony and their much-anticipated walk through the Colonnade.

These cherished traditions mark the end of their school journey and the beginning of a lifelong connection as members of the Old Saints’ community.

🌈🌻 Wellbeing Day Throwback 🌻🌈

As we celebrate Wellbeing Day at All Saints’ College, we’re taking a look back at some of the many ways students have connected, celebrated and simply enjoyed being together over the years.

At ASC, wellbeing has always been about supporting the whole person: mind, body and soul. While learning is an important part of school life, so too are the friendships, experiences and sense of belonging that help our young people thrive.

From camps and socials to formals, youth groups, discos and everything in between, these moments have given generations of students opportunities to connect outside the classroom, have fun and create lasting memories.

Today, we celebrate wellbeing in all its forms and the importance of connection, community and belonging. 💙

Last week our facilities team completed the installation of the newest bricks in the Old Saints’ Walk, adding more names and memories to this special part of the school.

🏀 Could you be our next ASC Basketball coach?

Looking for a way to stay connected and give back to the ASC community? The ASC Basketball Club is looking for volunteer coaches for the upcoming Summer 2026–2027 season.

You don’t need to be a basketball expert or have coaching experience. We’re looking for enthusiastic Old Saints who are keen to get involved, support our players and pick up some new skills along the way.

Coaches attend one training session per week at the ASC Indoor Sports Centre, as well as the team’s weekly game at Willetton Basketball Association.

✨ Meet Our Old Saints' Committee Members | Mark Balding (Class of 1988) ✨

This month we're shining a spotlight on Mark Balding (Class of 1988), Vice President of the Old Saints Committee.

Mark is currently the Director of Technology and Projects at the Royal Flying Doctor Service WA, where he oversees innovation, technology, cyber security and project delivery in support of the organisation's mission to provide healthcare services across some of Western Australia's most remote communities.

Since graduating from All Saints' College, Mark has built an impressive career spanning technology, hospitality, consulting, mining services, aged care and business transformation. His journey has taken him across Australia and internationally, including leadership roles in Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore, as well as owning and growing a national IT business recognised among Australia's fastest-growing companies.

When asked what he enjoys most about his current role, Mark reflected on the opportunity to support the frontline teams of one of Australia's most trusted organisations and help deliver its mission of providing care to those who need it most.

🎓 Student to Professor | Ryan Loxton (Class of 2000)

For Old Saint Ryan Loxton, the journey from All Saints’ College to becoming a Professor of Mathematics wasn’t necessarily a straight one.

After Year 12, Ryan began an engineering degree but found the transition to university challenging and eventually stepped away. After some time in the workforce, he returned to study mathematics, going on to complete honours and a PhD, including four months studying in Hong Kong.

Today, Ryan is the Director of the Centre for Optimisation and Decision Science at Curtin University, where his team uses mathematics and data science to solve real-world engineering problems. Their work has supported major mining and resources companies across WA, as well as government agencies.

Along the way, Ryan’s work has been recognised with a number of awards and honours, marking an impressive career in mathematics, research and innovation.

2026 | Returning to All Saints’ College to mentor students at the Year 12 Networking Breakfast

Ryan’s return to ASC gave him the opportunity to share his experience in engineering and data science with current students. Reflecting on reconnecting with the College and mentoring the next generation, Ryan shared:

“The event energised me and reminded me of the responsibility we all share to nurture and mentor the next generation.”

Despite everything he has achieved since graduating, one of Ryan’s favourite memories of ASC remains a simple one: kicking the football every recess and lunchtime on the grass near the Principal and Pastor’s houses. 🏉

We loved welcoming Ryan back and hearing where life after ASC has taken him. 💙

✨ Old Saint Spotlight | Tanesha Bennell (Class of 2018) ✨

Congratulations to Old Saint Tanesha Bennell on being named a finalist for the Mission Australia Young Changemaker Award at the 2026 WA Youth Awards.

A proud q***r yorga, Tanesha is dedicated to creating safer and more inclusive spaces for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTIQA+ people through their work with Rainbow Futures WA and WAAC. They are also the co-founder of Boorloo Justice, leading community-driven initiatives focused on First Nations justice, culture and LGBTQIA+ inclusion.

Tanesha's leadership and advocacy have made a meaningful impact across our community, including their involvement in organising Perth's 2020 Black Lives Matter protest, demonstrating courage and commitment to social justice at a pivotal moment in Australia's history.

We are incredibly proud to see Tanesha recognised among Western Australia's outstanding young changemakers and look forward to seeing the impact they continue to make in the years ahead. 👏
