This is Official Buderim Mountain State School page. Buderim is renowned as a centre for quality education and learning.

It is the educational hub of the Sunshine coast. In the heart of Buderim’s Main Street, Buderim Mountain State School was the first school to open on the coast nearly 140 years ago. Our vision statement, "Strive to achieve" encapsulates the community spirit. The functions of the P&C are:

- Fostering general community interest in educational issues

- Fostering general community interest in school

related issues

- Providing advice and recommendations to the Principal and other staff members on issues that affect students and the general operations of the school

- Providing financial or other resources through fund raising activities for the development of an optimum learning environment

- Managing the day-to-day running of the Banksia Cafe (Tuckshop). The Canteen offers nutritious snacks and lunches at reasonable prices

Congratulations to Coco E, Emmeline V, Daisy B and Briella G (Year 5) as well as Sammie F, Ruby B, Charlotte M and Elka S (Year 6) who participated in the LTQ (Language Teachers QLD) Sunshine Coast Speech Contest on Sunday at USC.

Each of our students did an amazing job presenting their Japanese speeches with a special mention to Emmeline (Silver), Daisy (Bronze), Sammie and Ruby (Highly Commended).

A big thank you also to our Japanese teacher (Mrs Law) for her ongoing commitment to our Japanese program.

Uniform Donation Day - Friday, 11 September 👕

With Spring just around the corner, why not have a clean-out of the wardrobes and pass on your outgrown school uniforms?

On Friday, 11th September, we will be holding a Uniform Donation Day.

Collection tubs will be available:
• Outside the Uniform Shop
• In the Prep eating area
• Outside Banksia Cafe

Your donations help us:
• Offer affordable secondhand uniform options
• Raise funds to reinvest back into the school
• Support families in need
• Keep our uniforms sustainable
• Reduce textile waste

A reminder that throughout the year, donations can also be dropped off at the Uniform Shop during opening hours, or at the P&C Office, OSHC or Front Office.

Please assist our Staff and Volunteers by ensuring donations are in clean, wearable condition.

Thank-you for helping give our uniforms a second life and supporting our school community! 💛

🎶📚 A SYMPHONY OF STORIES 📚🎶

The magic of Book Week is taking over BMSS! ✨

This year’s theme, “A Symphony of Stories”, has inspired plenty of creativity around our school, with many classes contributing wonderful artwork to our library. From colourful creations to imaginative displays, our students and teachers have helped bring the library to life. 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who has contributed, it’s wonderful to see our love of books and stories celebrated throughout our school!

And now for the fun part… 👀📖

🎭 BOOK WEEK DRESS-UP DAY: Friday 28 August

All students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character and help us create our very own symphony of stories around the school!

Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 students will also take part in a special Book Week Parade in the hall:

SPRING 2026 VACATION PROGRAM OUT NOW! 😎☀️

Check out the program to see the fantastic array of activities, incursions and excursions in store at Buderim OSHC these Spring school holidays, including a visit to Australia Zoo and Amaze World, a Messy Play Day, Puppet Palooza, Movie Day, Fit Kids incursion and more!

Here’s what you need to know about the program and how to get your kids into the action:
👉🏼 Bookings & Enrolments: To enrol, please visit our website (www.buderimoshc.org) to complete the digital enrolment form. To create bookings, please do so via the OWNA app.
👉🏼 Cancellations & Absences: 1 weeks' notice is required for the cancellation of days (without charge).
👉🏼 Food & Drink: The service will provide a light morning tea and afternoon tea, but children are required to bring a packed lunch (preferably nut free due to allergies within the service).
👉🏼 Clothing: Children are required to wear sun safe clothing; no singlets and midriff tops to be worn. Children are also to wear enclosed shoes while at the service and on excursions.
👉🏼 Finances and Childcare Subsidy (CCS): All financial information (including statements) is accessed via the OWNA app.
👉🏼 Excursions: If your child is booked on an excursion day, they must attend the excursion as we do not offer an alternative program at the service. A completed permission form is compulsory prior to attending any excursion.
