The Extension Education Program for Gifted Children is a selective educational program for gifted children (who test on the 95th percentile or above on standard IQ tests) aged 5-11 years of age on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia. Students attend 1 day per week during the school term instead of attending their regular school. Our classes are small (no more than 10) and are taught by a Q

LD registered teacher with extensive experience and qualifications in gifted education as well as a full-time teacher-aide. Research indicates that many of the emotional and social difficulties gifted students may experience tend to disappear when their educational climates are adapted to their level and pace of learning. The opportunity to spend 1 day per week to explore, learn, develop friendships and find companionship with their intellectual peers makes the 1 day program and exciting and valuable part of the child's educational and social journey. Please note our immunisation policy requires that all children are fully up to date with all of their immunisations prior to enrolment.
