Songcraft Podcast: SNED Music - Joe Oppenheimer This week I interviewed John Sneddon for the Songcraft Podcast, a bass playing beat maker with a unique (and often improvised) live show. What is the Songcraft Method about? This video introduces the four main characters of Songcraft and the Creative Loop - the key stages involved in the songwriting process: Dreamer, Creator, Crafter and Performer.

This is a system designed to help singer-songwriters (and other creatives) with the creative process by identifying the main steps taken in order to write and finish a song.

A lot of people are interested in songwriting but don’t really get into it, maybe because they don’t know how to start writing a tune, or they don’t know how to put all their ideas together and finish a song, or they have no idea how to enter that realm whatsoever - the Creative Loop is a simple guide to identify the major steps in the creative process.

Maybe during this video you’ll identify where your natural strengths lie along the Loop, and also where you have the potential to develop your skills and get more actively creative. Rest assured that each of these aspects is teachable: that’s what Songcraft is all about.
