Today, on National Sorry Day, we pause to hold space for the Stolen Generations, their families and communities.

At Groupwork Centre, we believe that true collaboration and healing require naming what is real. It is our ongoing responsibility to deeply listen and center First Nations voices in our practice.

As we move from reflection into action, here are three resources we are leaning into today.

πŸ“– Read: Decolonizing Solidarity by Clare Land
🌐 Learn: "From Sorry to Action" by Reconciliation Australia - https://www.reconciliation.org.au/national-sorry-day-from-sorry-to-action/
✊ Act: Get involved with Together for Treaty - https://www.togetherfortreaty.org.au/

We stand with First Nations communities today and every day, committed to the ongoing work of justice and healing.

In our next Stories from the Field, our Associate, Kate Sulan, will share her journey of integrating facilitation and collaboration skills directly into the arts sector.

"Are we a social change organisation?" That was the big question we kept asking ourselves for the last couple of years. Grappling with it helped us clarify exactly who we are, and it completely shaped our new Strategic Narrative.

We realised that in these complex times, we urgently need the capacity to be resilient, to speak across difference and to inspire each other. Therefore, our work is about helping people figure out how to "get on" with each other so they can do good things in the world.

At the launch, we were proud to share our new Strategic Narrative. This document outlines our deep, practical recommitment to tackling climate change, nurturing the next generation of leaders, and advancing Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI).

We are stepping into a bold new chapter, and we’d love for you to read about it. πŸ’›
