Congratulations to our very own Louis for his stellar performance at today's ATV State Poomsae Championships & Selection event!

Louis has put in the hard work - committing to 3x poomsae trainings weekly and countless hours of practicing at home with his family, who have been taking notes throughout classes to practice. Louis is a keen and eager student, with his hard working earning him a bronze medal 🥉and qualifying him to compete at Nationals later this year - a first for BE Taekwondo!

We're very proud of Louis and look forward to his bright future!

An excellent showing from the team who got up there, did their best and showed real determination, focus and grit. The kids were straight back into training on Monday, working hard for the next competitions.

Thank you to their families who came to watch and support, members of the BE community that came, and our friends from other clubs that cheered on during the day!

🥋 ANNOUNCEMENT: MASTER JAY JOINS BE TAEKWONDO!

We are proud to announce that Master Jayfel Tulabing-Lee, known to our community as Master Jay, has officially joined Be Taekwondo as a permanent, full-time Master Instructor.

Master Jay brings over 10 years of elite Taekwondo experience, a strong record in coaching high-performance athletes, and an unwavering commitment to the values we hold dear at Be Taekwondo — excellence, discipline, respect, and community.

Her extensive background includes qualifications in medical science and engineering, leadership roles across nonprofit and startup sectors, and she volunteers in various roles within Australian Taekwondo Victoria, contributing as both a referee and computer operator. Master Jay brings professionalism, generosity, and deep community engagement to everything she does.

As an athlete, Master Jay has competed nationally and internationally, representing at the highest levels with a fierce work ethic and technical mastery. As a coach, she has guided students to podium finishes and built teams defined by discipline, resilience, and pride — qualities we know our members will benefit from immensely.

We’re excited to welcome Master Jay as a permanent member of the Be Taekwondo family, and we have no doubt about the positive impact she will have on our students, families, and broader community.
