This NAIDOC Week, as we celebrate the theme “50 Years of Deadly”, we would like to acknowledge and celebrate our two strong Elders in our school community.

For more than 30 years, Aunty Phyllis Freeman and Aunty Sonia Piper have generously shared their culture, knowledge, stories and wisdom with generations. Their dedication to cultural education has enriched our school and helped foster understanding, respect and pride in Aboriginal Wiradjuri Culture.

The impact of their work can be seen in the many students and adults whose lives they have touched over the years. Their commitment, passion and leadership have created a lasting legacy that will continue for generations to come.

Thank you, Aunty Phyllis and Aunty Sonia, for everything you have given to our school community. We are incredibly grateful for your guidance, friendship and unwavering dedication.
