As the Japan Tour continues, our students have enjoyed some wonderful learning experiences at our sister school in Kure.

The day began with PE, including basketball, dodgeball and volleyball, followed by obento lunch in the cafeteria. In the afternoon, students took part in an ethics class exploring fast fashion and related social issues.

Students also enjoyed getting to know their fourth-year counterparts, speaking in both Japanese and English and learning more about each other’s cultures during the exchange.

Next, they’re off to Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Miyajima before returning home.

🎬Our co-curricular senior drama students have been hard at work rehearsing for their upcoming production of Arthur Miller’s 'The Crucible'.

Set in Salem, Massachusetts, in 1692, The Crucible follows a community thrown into chaos when a group of young girls are accused of witchcraft. As fear, suspicion and personal vengeance take hold, the people of Salem must decide how far they are willing to go to protect their reputations and what they are willing to sacrifice for the truth.

It promises to be an evening of theatre not to be missed!

Year 7-12 Contemporary Ensemble bands rocked our world at the Rockin' Picnic on the Morison Lawns.

Featuring performances from AB/CD, Free Will, High Dent Hippos, Pre-eminence, The Neighbourhood, Quest Band and local alumni band The Bright Shining Lies, the energetic afternoon of music built on the success of Radford Rocks earlier in the year.

From Tokyo’s bustling streets to the mountain town of Takayama, our Japan Tour students have had a memorable start to their journey.

They explored Harajuku and Shibuya, sampled local food and experienced some of Tokyo’s best-known shopping districts, before travelling by Shinkansen to Takayama, taking in Japan’s rural scenery along the way.

A highlight was staying at a traditional minshuku, where students experienced Japanese hospitality, enjoyed local Hida cuisine and put their language skills into practice with their hosts, affectionately known as “Grandma and Grandpa”. Sleeping on futons, sharing meals and spending time talking with their hosts offered a wonderful insight into everyday life and culture in Japan.

They've now made their way on to Shin-Osaka for the next stage of their adventure.

Close to 200 Radford Collegians and their families returned to campus on Saturday, 19 September for our annual Radford Collegians Welcome Back Event, highlighting the strength, pride and lifelong connections that make our alumni community so special.

The afternoon was filled with laughter, shared memories and meaningful reunions as alumni from across the decades, Classes of 1996, 2006 and 2016 reconnected with friends, revisited familiar spaces and celebrated their ongoing connection to Radford College.

A special thank you to our Community Captains, Caela and Simon and service-learning students for their enthusiastic support throughout the event, and to the Parents & Friends Association volunteers for their warm hospitality in serving refreshments to our guests.

We are grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make the event such a success. The strong turnout is a wonderful reminder that no matter how many years have passed since graduation, Radford will always be a place to come home to. 💛

✈️🇯🇵 行ってきます！ Off we go!
It was an early start yesterday, Ms Bourne and Ms Sharp along with 19 students were at Canberra Airport before 5am to set off on our Japan Exchange and Study Tour! 🎌

Over the holidays, our students will explore Tokyo, Takayama, Kyoto and Osaka, before spending a week immersed in school life at our sister school, Kure Kousen, in Hiroshima Prefecture.

The Year 10 Exchange is always a highlight for our Languages students, providing an incredible opportunity to experience Japanese culture, connect with students and families, and — most importantly — put all that hard work in the classroom into practice! 🗣️📚

We can't wait to follow their adventures over the coming weeks. Have an amazing trip, everyone! 🌸

RadPAC, one of Radford’s most anticipated annual events, hit the stage yesterday and raised the roof of the Collegians Centre!

Inspired by this year’s theme, Fairytales, each House brought energy, creativity and plenty of pride, battling it out through music, drama and storytelling.

More than a competition, RadPAC is a celebration of community, teamwork, belonging and fun, giving students the chance to build confidence, strengthen friendships and get behind their House. 🙌🎉

🎶📖A Symphony of Stories filled the spring air at Radford’s annual Spring Showcase earlier this week.

The evening featured some of the College’s most advanced ensembles, including Big Band, Vivace, Montgomery Guitar Ensemble, Camerata and the Corelli Chamber String Orchestra. The Bernstein Symphonic Wind Orchestra brought the concert to a close with Stardance — a fitting finale to the evening. 🌠

Congratulations to all students involved, and thank you, as always, to the staff, parents, carers and supporters who cheer them on.

🏀🏆 A grand finish to a memorable winter basketball season.

The stands were packed, the atmosphere was electric and our Radford Basketball community turned out in force for a huge Junior Premier League Grand Final weekend.

Radford had two teams take centre stage in Junior Premier League Grand Finals over the weekend, with our U19 Boys battling their way to another Grand Final appearance and our U16 Girls completing an outstanding season with a championship victory. 🥇🥈

Kudos also goes to all individual achievement recipients: Claire (U14) - Grand Final MVP Award, Elliott (U12) - Basketball ACT's U12 Boys Junior Premier League Best and Fairest Award, and Marcus (U14), Josh (U16) and Samyra (U16) who earned Top 5 honours.

Congratulations to all players, coaches and officials on a fantastic season, and thank you to the families, friends and supporters who filled the stands and cheered every step of the way. 👏

🏐☀️ What a way to finish the netball season!

Warm spring sunshine, gusty winds, oranges at half-time and a sea of Radford supporters lining the courts. Grand Final day had it all.

Five Radford teams earned their place in the North Canberra Netball Competition Grand Finals, showcasing the commitment, resilience and teamwork that have defined the season.

Congratulations to the Radford Kestrels, who claimed the Juniors Division 2 premiership with a hard-fought 16–12 victory. 🎉

A huge thank you to our players, coaches, managers, umpires, families and supporters who created an incredible atmosphere throughout the day. Your Radford spirit was impossible to miss. 💙💛
