Congratulations to Year 8 student Jemima, who claimed a spot on Radford's first ever podium at the State Interschool Championships at Perisher. 🏂🥈

Competing in Division 3, Jemima earned 87 points from two outstanding runs, finishing just 5.5 points behind the winner in a highly competitive field.

Her achievement reflects exceptional skill, versatility and determination, with Jemima competing across both freestyle and speed disciplines during the Championships.

It also follows her recent gold in the Division 3 (Years 7–8) Snowboard Giant Slalom and silver in the Snowboard Cross.

We wish Jemima the very best as she takes on the Snowboard Giant Slalom and Snowboard Cross events later this week.

They did it! 🏔️

After seven days on the mountain, Radford College Junior School Teacher Mr Jon Craddock and 33 students from around the world have reached the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro as part of Round Square’s 60th anniversary expedition.

The final climb began at 11pm on Sunday, with the group battling freezing temperatures, altitude and exhaustion as they made their way towards Uhuru Peak, Africa’s highest point at 5,895 metres.

For Jon, the goal was to help every student give themselves the best chance of reaching the summit. There were tears, hugs and plenty of celebrations when they finally made it.

What an incredible achievement, Jon! We are so proud of you and the 33 students who showed such determination and resilience along the way.

The group now makes the downhill journey, carried by memories of an incredible achievement.

Experiences like this are one of the many benefits of being a Round Square school, giving students opportunities for adventure, global connection and social citizenship that challenge them to grow, connect with others and make a difference.

Across three nights, Year 7 and 8 students took audiences on a journey through time in their brilliant production of Charlie Pilgrim (or a Beginner’s Guide to Time Travel).

Our budding actors auditioned back in November and have spent the past nine months rehearsing, refining and preparing to bring this clever and thought-provoking story to the stage.

A special thank you to Collegians Oli Johnston and Tia Priest-Willimott for generously giving their time to direct the production and expertly guide our cast throughout the process.

Radford Junior School Teacher Mr Jon Craddock is taking on one of the biggest adventures of his career as part of Round Square’s 60th anniversary Kilimanjaro Expedition.

The team has now begun the climb, with Jon sharing that the first few days have been a mix of excitement, nerves and getting to know the incredible group he’ll be sharing the mountain with.

Their first acclimatisation hike took them to 2,700m above sea level, with the team now continuing higher as they prepare for the challenge ahead.

For Jon, the expedition is about more than reaching the summit. It’s an opportunity to step outside his comfort zone, challenge himself and embrace the unknown – something he hopes to bring back to his students at Radford.

With limited internet access as the team heads further into the mountains, we’ll share more from Jon’s journey when we can.

Good luck, Jon! We’ll be following every step.

Have you ever wished you could change the past?

Our Year 7 and 8 drama students are bringing Charlie Pilgrim (or a Beginner’s Guide to Time Travel) to the stage from 13–15 August in T.B. Millar Hall.

As Charlie travels back in time, they create a new version of themselves – and things quickly become complicated. When different versions of Charlie collide, one question emerges: how far would you go to fix a mistake?

Directors Oli Johnston and Tia Priest-Willimott – two talented Collegians – have guided the cast to bring this clever and thought-provoking story to life.

And on opening night, there’ll be a real DeLorean time machine outside T.B. Millar Hall, ready for the perfect pre-show photo!
