Sutherland Shire Council have opened an important consultation for a renaming of a loved section of the Woronora River in recognition of the cultural work and legacy of Uncle Max Dulumunmun.

We encourage friends and followers of our work who may have enjoyed participating in his sunset celebrations and lore sharing to offer their thoughts and support to rename the section to Dulumunmun Dreaming Place.

Great to see stories like this being told, highlighting ongoing cultural practices:

When surfer, artist and Dharug man Billy Bain journeyed up the NSW coast to spend time with local First Nations communities, he discovered a special connection to his country and culture — and a quiet sense of confidence to tell his story.
