Its time.
It’s time to build community.
It’s time to let your voice rise.
It’s time to speak all your truth.
It’s time to let go of what keeps us small. It’s time to feel power in your voice.
It’s time to be heard.
It’s time to claim and own more space. It’s time to reclaim our heart song.
It’s time to feel and let go.
It’s time to sing.
The world needs your vibration.

Singing doesn’t need to just be for the talented voices who have trained with lessons. Singing is a birthright. We all used to sing. Before we were quietened, before we were told we were too much, too loud, not good enough etc. they were wrong. Singing is good for the soul good for the spirit good for our brain good for our body, it calms our central nervous system and tones our vagus nerve. Singing is wholesome, healthy, joyful goodness.

At songbirds all women and all children are welcome. We learn to listen. Truly listen. And I help you find your place in each song where we can stretch and grow and move along at our own pace.

No experience necessary, if you love to sing, or think you might then you will find community here.

We are relaxed. Pay for the term (it’s only $100 per family) and just come when you’re able.

Some women come by themselves. Some bring their kids.
Some bring their kids sometimes.
Some women aren’t mums.
Some women bring their own mums.
Do it your way. Whatever works.

Sometimes we sing melody all together.
Sometimes we sing traditional harmony parts. Sometimes I help you make your own harmony parts, and over time we do get better and better at that. Sometimes I help you like a traditional singing lesson. It all depends on what’s needed to make a song work with the voices we have each night.

We sing a lot of earth centred peace love chant like songs, and pop songs and rock songs and anything that offers beauty and hope and ultimately joy.
This last week we did golden by huntrix and a mamuse song. Two complete opposites. There are no rules here.

We have two opportunities to perform if wanted each year in a very relaxed family concert showcase.

We are for community building amongst women and children. So while it is cheap at just $100 per family per term, if you can’t afford that right now it’s okay, we have free options for this one too if you truly need it, no questions asked. This style of music making is for all.

Message to book.

Max class size of just 6 in kids classes, also 6 in adults only, and max of just 3 families in my family classes where the parent/carer/grandfolks etc stays and learns along side their child/ren too.

Small Group classes are a fun relaxed foundation building and much more economical way to learn and when spaces are full they’re full, I do not over book classes.

In all my Group classes, we learn to sing while we play; finding, exploring and fully owning our unique voices as inherent creative outlets.

We stretch our brains learning this technique using and strengthening both sides of our brain at once; including the bridge between both hemispheres! What could be better than that.
For all ages.

It’s brain strengthening, co ordination building, awareness developing, listening building, creativeness enhancing, internal quietness expanding all packaged up in joyful musical learning.

The way I teach group classes doesn’t require music note reading. So it’s okay when practice slides a bit, or if your family is just so busy most weeks you just can’t create the time.
It’s relaxed. It’s okay.
It’s nice to have the time of course because they’ll progress faster but students won’t fail my teaching with out heaps of practice because they’re taught to listen on the fly, let loose, have a go and join in with what they can to create group music.

There’s so much good learning to come from these classes, it’s not all just music.

Listening, while making noise, Awareness of self and others.
Attention to details that matter, letting go of what doesn’t at the time.
Joyful creativeness for the sake of enjoyment, not necessarily the performance output.
Focus.
Attunement.
Learning to blend in AND learning to stand out; and when that’s most appropriate.
Learning to lead, learning how to make others want to follow you, and equally; learning how to genuinely let others lead.
Feeling and playing through emotions.
Breathing technique.
Not caring what others think, letting go of perceived limitations and yet equally; learning how to be happy within your own current actual limitations.
Grit and determination and working out when you really want to excel at something what that might take to do so.
Performance skills.

See what I mean? All great things to learn indeed and that’s what we get from from these group music lessons!

Oh this dog! We are gonna miss him!

Noah and I moved into his house last November and got word we had a full 12 months while owners were living and working in Saudi.

Cut to now, war and all that, owners are thankfully safely home but 8months early and we need a new home before 1st May.

We have a Few leads via my personal page and thought to chuck it out here too as the more eyes and ears the better.

If anyone knows of a place going for $850 a week or knows of anyone going overseas and needing their house rented and or pet looked after, Anywhere on the beaches; then please let me know.

We’ve got a few weeks.

Also interested in any commercial style place I can teach from and also live in like where I used to teach in brookvale that had an apartment upstairs.

Perhaps also interested in a house share with another person/family. (Big perhaps, but open to the idea)

Look how cute this dog is though would you. He’s just the best most adorable thing ever. And we are gonna miss him!
