Related Works is an architectural collective that explores design as both practice and research. Tashania Akemah is a partner at Related Works and currently works at the Carnegie Museum of Art as an exhibition designer. Her research explores how identity emerges not from singular origins, but through entangled fragments—across objects, spaces, and narratives. These accumulations form selves that are layered, unstable, and shaped by both inheritance and rupture.

Echoed Assemblage
San Pietro, Tuscania
For Agenzia del Demanio
Reinterpreting Tuscan stonework, this project repurposes historic fragments to form spaces of pause and reflection. Rooted in the heritage of San Pietro and attuned to the Jubilee, the project frames architecture as both vessel and threshold—a site where time‑worn materials, memory, and the sacred intersect.

Decenniale is a once-every-ten-years counter-exhibition opposing the increasing speed, commodification, and spectacle of architectural biennales, triennales, and expos. Situated on the reverse stoop of Citygroup’s staircase, it acts as both a threshold and an obstruction—a staged act of withholding that makes access something earned, not given; a ten-year question mark carved in matter.

Andrew is a founding partner, designer, and researcher based in New York whose practice spans architecture, media infrastructures, and curatorial systems. His research examines how architecture performs as a medium of translation, in which drawing, exhibition, and reconstruction operate as procedural frameworks for mediation, memory, and shared authorship.
