Today is Jumuโ€™ah Alhamdulillah for being able to witness the best day of the week.

Remember to recite suratul Kahf today ๐Ÿ’š!
There are so many beautiful reminders and lessons in it for us. No wonder itโ€™s a light for us. Here in session 5 of the class we are reminded of how detailed the book of deeds can be. Letโ€™s choose tawbah over justification of sins any day! The righteous repented, Iblis justified his disobedience and so it is very interesting that right after the mention of the book of deeds, Allah Azza Wajal tells us to be careful of our enemy Iblis and to not take him as a friend! May Allah Azza Wajal AsSalaam, Al Muโ€™min, Al Muhaymin preserve us from all evil. Aameeen!

Ps: Take it to the next level by going beyond the recitation of suratul Kahf with some Tadabbur! This clip is from a ๐‘ป๐’‚๐’…๐’‚๐’ƒ๐’ƒ๐’–๐’“ ๐’„๐’๐’‚๐’”๐’” ๐’๐’‡ ๐’”๐’–๐’“๐’‚๐’•๐’–๐’ ๐’Œ๐’‚๐’‰๐’‡ that I taught live last year. The class is available on demand.

Today is Saturday so it is Seerah day on our Free Learning Platform and we are still reflecting on the early revelation telling our beloved Rasulullah ๏ทบ to rise and pray the night except for a little and in another surah to rise and warn.

We are reflecting on the link between the twoโ€ฆon how our prayers at night help us deal with people and various circumstances during the day!

This is very timely as we go through Ramadan, fasting the day and Praying the night.

There are so many opportunities for us to talk to Allah Azza Wajal, to make duโ€™as to Allah, for our duโ€™as to be answered!

We are not prophets but we have been granted the honor to communicate directly with Allah in our salah with suratul Fatiha and in our duโ€™as right?

We also get to see what Allah Azza Wajal wants us to know when we read His Noble Speech and donโ€™t we do a lot of that in Ramadan! Alhamdulillah!

This communication at night in salah expecially is what prepares us to talk to other people and to deal with whatever fitnah they may be exposing us to. This is the key to us stepping outside our comfort zone and overcoming the obstacles surrounding Jannah.

May Allah grant us tawfeeq!

Indeed with every difficulty/hardship comes abundant ease!

ArRahman ArRaheem decreed it for me not against me. This is good for me. I trust my Lord entirely. Out of this, something good will come. I put my full trust in Al Wakeel. He is my Maula and the Best Disposer of Affairs. ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š

Dear sister, know that the tests are scarier than the reality. ArRahman is not trying to harm us, on the contrary. The tests just look scary and insurmountable but thatโ€™s where the test is!!! In the end, when you pass your test, when you maintain good thoughts of your Rabb and hold on to Him with all you have, you see how the reality is actually good.

These people who supposedly died fisabilillah are not dead! They are alive near their Lord enjoying themselves!

Ibrahim Alayhi Salaam who supposedly had to kill his son, didnโ€™t kill his son, a ram was offered instead,

These men who visited prophet Lut Alayhi Salaam were not poor victims, they were mighty angels sent to destroy the people of Lut,

The same angels appeared as men to Ibrahim and Ibrahim feared them because they would not eat his food. These men were not there to harm him, they were in fact angels bringing the glad tidings of a child, Ishaaq Alayhi Salaam,

Yusuf in the well was not to die there, no! His entire journey was a means through which he gained a position of authority and was able to save his family and many others from a devastating famine.

Musaโ€™s mother is told to put her baby boy in a box on the river in the midst of a tense and scary situation where baby boys were being killed, but this was actually what needed to be done so the tyrant Firโ€™awn meets his demise.

Again and again Allah Azza Wajal shows us how He is in perfect control.

We just have to hold on to the Rope of Allah and to remain hopeful because things just look scary. The reality is otherwise.

Saturday
This is review as we are not posting any new lessons until after Ramadhan.

I listened to lesson 11 from the playlist again and here are my reflections ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿพ

Exiting the comfort zone!!!
When studying the seerah you quickly realize how often our beloved prophet ๏ทบ had to exit the comfort zone in his life. He didnโ€™t have an easy life.

Part of his sunnah is teaching us to not be too comfortable in this Dunya. A traveller on transit does not make himself too comfortable because he knows he is just on transit and thatโ€™s how our beloved Rasulullah ๏ทบ viewed this life.

He becomes a prophet in Ramadan in the cave of Hira and right from the beginning we see how the first revealed ayaat were difficult for him to receive and say. He was squeezed until he thought he would pass out.

For the next 23 years as the Qurโ€™an was gradually revealed to him, most times it was a difficult experience! Yet in addition to the physical struggles he also faced the rejection of his people and many times Allah Azza Wajal revealed ayaat to comfort him.

This passage here of the Seerah Book is explaining the first few ayaat of suratul Muddaththir and how these ayaat were preparing Rasulullah ๏ทบ for the upcoming challenges. He was told to Rise and Warn and in another surah Rise and pray! He was told to not expect from the people, He was told to have sabr! Tough times were coming!

As we deal with the various challenges of this life and even in our own worship, letโ€™s remember that great things await us beyond the comfort zone.

So when fasting becomes uncomfortable letโ€™s remember the rewards that go with this discomfort.
When struggling to recite the Qurโ€™an, letโ€™s think of the light in our grave, the intercession of the Qurโ€™an and the blessing of rising to higher levels of Jannah with its recitation.

Every single human being goes through hardship and what an honor it is to go through discomfort for the pleasure of Allah instead of this Dunya. ๐Ÿ’š

May Allah ease our discomfort and keep us steadfast on the straight path. ๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ’š

The tip for today's is on stepping outside our comfort zone!

I thought about sharing with you the benefits of stepping outside our comfort zone now before Ramadan starts. Some people call Ramadan a boot camp for the soul for a good reason! It does require that we exit our comfort for the pleasure of Allah.
If you are trying to make the most of Ramadan the right way it is no doubt intense.
So letโ€™s be ready to be sleep deprived and let's be ready to be dehydrated a little and a bit tiredโ€ฆ but all of it for a great cause!! To struggle for the pleasure of Allah Azza Wajal is the best struggle! And you know youโ€™ve struggled when on Eid you keep sleeping ๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿ˜ฌ throughout the day!

Ya Rahman Ya Raheem we pray that all our previous Ramadan have been accepted. ๐Ÿคฒ๐Ÿฝ

In our Membership Club, we did Tadabbur of suratul Muzzammil and Muddaththir and in both we see the command from ุงู„ู„ู‡ to Rasulullah ๏ทบ to stand up/to rise โ€œQumโ€ ู‚ู… Rise to pray at night. And in the other Surah it starts with Rise to warn the people: Tell them about Islam, tell them about the day of judgment, tell them about Allah tell them about the shirk that they are doing, tell them about the consequences of their actionsโ€ฆ.

At the same time you see a beautiful contrast between comfort and discomfort. The command to rise contrasts with the way he ๏ทบ is being called: Yaayuhal Muzzammil Yaayuhal Muddaththir (O you who wraps himself in garments O you who is enveloped in garments).
We see how the command to rise is putting an end to comfort, the comfort of being enveloped and covered up.

We too are about to spend our nights away from the blankets and comfort of our beds, we are going to also strive and work hard for the pleasure of Allah, to grow our Taqwa and to seek His forgiveness. Letโ€™s gradually exit the comfort zone now in preparation for Ramadan with that intention so we may be rewarded for Ramadan if it is decreed that we will not live to witness it.

The truth is that Life is not guaranteed sisters, we pray to witness Ramadan yet we are also aware that we might not because many die right before sometimes a few hours before. So letโ€™s prepare with the right intentions so no matter what happens we win bi idhnillah.

Here are a few ways we can exit our comfort zone this week:

โ˜•๏ธIf you drink a lot of coffee for instance, then this week start reducing your caffeine intake.

๐Ÿ›Œ If you are used to sleeping a lot then start gradually reducing the amount of sleep at night. You can take some power naps during the day to boost your energy.

๐Ÿฅ™ If you are used to eating 3 meals a day plus snacks etcโ€ฆ start reducing your food intake to maybe two meals a day and no snacks during the day โ€ฆ

๐Ÿ—“๏ธThink of an ideal day during Ramadan when praying and when not praying. This was part of our challenge in the membership club.
What do you see yourself do, what would you want to see yourself do from the time you wake up to the time you go to sleep keeping in mind your regular routine.

Ramadan is few counted days as per the ayah in Baqarah so itโ€™s helpful you have an idea of how you want to spend those days before day 1.

This week enact your Ramadan schedule as much as you can.

Thatโ€™s your work this week!!!

May Allah bless us with an Amazing Ramadan in good health and strong eeman! Aameeen!!!
