Meet Irene!

Irene is a sweet and resilient 2-year-old Maltese, weighing just 6.5 lbs. Rescued from a puppy mill in Busan, South Korea, where she endured unimaginable conditions, Irene’s life has transformed, and she’s now ready to begin her next chapter in a loving forever home.
Since arriving in NYC, Irene has shown she’s an incredibly quick learner and a remarkable adapter. Initially shy and hesitant, she started to get the hang of walking within just 15 minutes of her first stroll. She’s already mastering elevator rides and quickly settled into her foster home—barking on the first night but quiet and comfortable by the second.
Irene adores other dogs and has been learning the ropes by following her foster sister, Daon. She would thrive in a home with a canine companion. She’s great during bath time, food-motivated, and always eager to please. Her sweet and curious nature makes her a joy to be around, and her resilience is truly inspiring.
