Senior Secondary Building Opening 🎉

It was amazing to see staff, students, dignitaries, builders and architects all gather together last Friday to celebrate the official opening of our new Senior Secondary Building. There was a real sense of gratitude for the provision of this wonderful space! This new building includes spaces to gather and connect, classrooms, science labs, and more!

We would like to extend a massive thank you to all who have been apart of this build; from the contributions from the beginning, to the final cutting of the ribbon. We cannot wait to see this building come to life as it is filled with students and staff! 💙

HOUSE BATTLES 💛❤💙💚

Our Senior Secondary students did an incredible job competing against each other in our annual House Battles! Through music, dancing and acting, the students performed against each other in front of a panel of judges to see which house would come out on top...

Congratulations House DANIEL for taking home the win this year, with their incredible choreography and 2016 theme! ⭐🌼💛✨ and well done to all who particpated!

Jess sings with MSO! 🎶

On Saturday night, one of our prep teachers, Jessica Milson, had the opportunity to sing with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra in Hamer Hall.

We are blessed to have such talented staff members who willingly share their gifts in a variety of ways, both on and off campus.

Congratulations Jess, what a memorable and inspiring experience! 👏✨

YEAR 4 CAMP ⛺

Our Year 4 students across both campuses enjoyed a week away at camp, enjoying many outdoor activities. From kayaking to obstacle courses, hut building and zip-lining, everyone had an amazing time exploring nature and enjoying the outdoors!

🚓TOOLERN VALE VIC POLICE VISIT🚓

Last week, our Toolern Vale students were visited by some officers from the Victoria Police Dept. Students were able to dress up like a police officer, look and sit inside a police vehicle, and hear the sirens up close!

Everyone enjoyed learning more about how our police department works hard to keep us safe.

The Year 11 and 12 VCE VM students had the opportunity to visit Melbourne Zoo to fulfill their learning outcomes in an engaging way! 🦁🐢🐒

Here is an exerpt from a student:
'Going to Melbourne Zoo was an exciting and fun excursion that the Year 11 and 12 students got to enjoy. It turned out to be a really fun and interesting day, besides the rain. We had a speaker who was an education member of Zoos Victoria give us a lesson about Australian marine life and how they have saved multiple marine life animals from plastics, fishing hooks, rope, and a lot more. Alisha (the speaker) explained how we can reduce the risk of harming our marine life and what to do if we see something that isn’t right. After the lesson, we were able to go and explore the zoo and spend the rest of our excursion having fun and seeing lots of different animals.'

Overall, the students had enjoyed learning and have come up with further ideas to protect Melton's waterways for both flora and fauna.
