Science week has begun and we have been busy already.

GUESS WHAT’S COMING TO TINY TRIBE? 🐛

We’re so excited to be welcoming some very special little visitors! 🌿

Our children will have the wonderful opportunity to observe the fascinating life cycle of silkworms and watch as they grow and change right before our eyes. 🔍🪱🦋

Did you know? 🤔
🧵 Silkworms make their cocoons from one continuous strand of silk!
🌿 Their favourite food is mulberry leaves.
🐛 Silkworms can grow to around 30 times their original size!
🥚 Their life cycle includes egg → silkworm (caterpillar) → cocoon → moth.

We can’t wait to watch, wonder, ask questions and learn together as our little silkworms begin their journey! 💚

SCIENCE WEEK begins for us tomorrow and we have lots of exciting things planned. Keep your eye on the page to see some of the things we get up to this SCIENCE WEEK.

Our school-aged children have been helping with our weekly online food shopping! 🛍️

Working together, they read through the shopping list, searched for each item and, once it was added to the cart, carefully highlighted it off the list. ✅

This simple everyday experience provided opportunities to develop reading and literacy skills, concentration, organisation, following instructions, technology skills and teamwork.

Located in the foyer our Little Library is where children can choose a special book to take home and enjoy with their families! 🏡📖

Early literacy begins long before children learn to read and write. Sharing books together helps children develop a love of stories, build their vocabulary, strengthen listening and communication skills, and begin to understand how books and print work.

Most importantly, reading together creates beautiful opportunities for connection, conversation and quality time between children and their families.

Children are welcome to choose a book to take home and share with their family, you may keep the book or return it when they’re ready to choose another!

Because sometimes the simplest moments and someone special to read with create the biggest learning opportunities. 🥰📚
