What a class !!! 💙💙💙 Late post I know but Cath Derksema presented another super interesting Indigo Dye workshop to a group of enthusiastic people at 7 Clovelly Road on 31st June. I LOVED observing everyone’s unique Indigo Dye journey with new techniques emerging onto each new linen piece… Both sides of the street outside came alive with movement as fabulous works on linen hung out to dry. Magic. THANK YOU CATH … can’t wait to have you back again soon!!

It is not uncommon in my classes for both adult students and younger students to make a project for their beloved dogs. Let me introduce you to Merlin, beloved pooch of Maria who has been learning to sew recently in our Monday evening adults classes. Totally loving his 4 new plush cushion covers… 🐾

New Indigo Dye Class with Cath Derksema at The Bronte Sewing Room. Sunday 12th July 10am-1pm. Come and fall into the wondrous spell of Indigo 💙💙💙Cath will demonstrate many techniques of application so you can create your own works onto beautiful linen pieces. Your indigo’d pieces will be beautiful as they are (great for serviettes) and also lend themselves perfectly to be hand stitched onto later and/or made up into bags, book covers, zip up purses, cushion covers etc if you like. Saturday’s Nasturtium hand stitching class!!!! What an absolute treat for everyone who came to learn, create and then be transported into the wonderful world of fabric, colour and stitching…a most beautiful place to be!! Cath Derksema you’ve just “got it “ and huge thanks again for coming to my space and sharing what you do & continuing to inspire so many. Can’t wait for the next one. Oh and the last 2 images are of a stitching WIP that one student, Prue, has been working on at home after learning from Cath in previous classes. I think it’s GORGEOUS 🩷❤️🧡🩷❤️
