Sharing Our Wonderful Writing

On Friday, Kindergarten and Stage 1 came together to share their fantastic information writing pieces. Our young authors proudly read their work to one another, demonstrating their growing knowledge of facts, headings, labelled diagrams and topic-specific vocabulary.

It was wonderful to see the students listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions and celebrating each other’s achievements. Writing becomes even more meaningful when it is shared with a real audience!

Last week, Year 5 had a wonderful time visiting a local preschool!

From soccer and fort building to painting, drawing and sandcastle making, there was plenty of fun and laughter.

Next year, these Year 5 students will become the leaders of our school, and some of these little learners will join Bronte Public School as their Kindergarten buddies. What a beautiful way to begin building friendships before big school!

✨ Sharing Light ✨

Members of our SRC and Jewish student community recently participated in a special clay vessel-making workshop for Sharing Light.

Their handmade vessels will be displayed as part of a community installation at Archer Park, alongside thousands of clay vessels containing solar lights, as a way to mark one year since the Bondi Beach attack.

The installation will be on display from 4 December for 8 nights.

A meaningful experience centred on remembrance, hope, unity and the strength of community. 🕯️

Literacy and Numeracy Week at BPS!

KM have been busy learning all about sharing equally! Through lots of hands-on activities, both in the classroom and outdoors, our students have been exploring early division concepts in fun and meaningful ways.

There’s nothing better than learning by doing — maths really is so much fun!
