Down to Earth Drumming Down to Earth Drumming offers community African drumming classes in Broken Hill, Australia. Lessons are taught by myself - Ali.

I have a passion for drumming, having started learning the djembe roughly 15 years ago. I now have the joy of sharing my love for all things rhythm with the folk of Broken Hill, and further afield in Far West NSW. I aim to create a fun and relaxed atmosphere where people feel safe to explore their inner groove, connect and share in some laughter while learning some rhythms and beats :)

Well that's Macrou done and dusted! It sounded so great, and I was so immersed in the playing of the rhythm that I forgot to record any of it! 🙃

Thanks for a joyful Term 2 everyone. Class will now take a break during the school holidays, returning in the next few weeks. Date TBC soon.

Thankyou for another great year of coming together to drum and have a laugh. Rhythm and laughter...so good for the soul 🙂

Whether you've come along once, a handful of times or are a regular, each and every one of you has contributed to the energy of the drum circle to make it is what it is today. Thankyou 🙏
