Hi all, with spring well underway and those tiny blades of grass full of fructan shooting up everywhere be aware that laminitis is a big issue at this time of the year.
As horse owners it’s our responsibility to be proactive about our horses dietary intake and weight, the risks associated with not doing so can result in many kinds of issues.
If you think your horse may be prone to laminitis it is important to remember prevention is the best cure. So In saying that something like founder guard from Virbac Australia may be useful in preventing low grade laminitis caused in the hindgut.
