Let’s talk about a position and role I believe is very much taken for granted: The Keeper - where do I start? In my playing days as both a captain and eventually Capt/ Coach roles the first player I would look to cement was the keeper most times! I don’t think I really need to elaborate on this with true cricket brains, but I rarely hear it personified even at the top levels. Sure, we celebrate the Gilchrist and Healy’s and rightly so… but my point is more to do with every day teams at all levels! Without a good keeper, you have many issues. With a great keeper you solve many issues and provide many more options! So here’s to those keepers who are true keepers, doing their bit to keep this critical role alive…👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Very happy to be appointed Director of Coaching at Gold Coast Dolphins Women’s Program. A legacy bestowed to me from a legend in Garry Lovett. I look forward to the challenges ahead. supporting and discovering new boundaries to explore and presenting to a quality group of women cricketers. Time will tell how this journey plays out, but a full and committed effort will be the bare minimum on this venture!!
