Looking out for yourself isn’t selfish — it’s necessary. 💙

We all want to help others, support the people around us and make a positive difference. But sometimes we become so focused on everyone else that we forget about ourselves.

The reality is, if you’re completely exhausted, overwhelmed or running on empty, it becomes incredibly difficult to keep showing up for other people.

Sometimes you need to put yourself first. Look after your energy, protect your wellbeing and recognise when you need some time for yourself.

You can still care deeply about others while making sure you’re okay too.

I’m so excited to share my first ever neurodivergent product review! 💙

A huge thank you to Cloud Nine for sending me one of their sensory-friendly hoodies to test out.

My first impression? I genuinely love how much thought has gone into the design. From the sensory patches hidden inside the pockets to the squeeze features on the hoodie strings, it’s clear this wasn’t just made to look good—it was designed with sensory needs in mind.

As someone who loves seeing products created with the neurodivergent community in mind, it’s exciting to be able to share this experience with all of you. I can’t wait to keep wearing it, put it through its paces, and share a more in-depth review soon.

Thanks again, Cloud Nine, for trusting me to review your product. It means a lot, and I’m looking forward to sharing more neuro-inclusive products like this with my community.

I honestly can’t believe we’re in 2026 and so many corporate Learning Management Systems (LMS) still aren’t designed with accessibility in mind.

As someone with dyslexia, I shouldn’t have to struggle just to complete workplace training. Where are the built-in reading supports? Where’s the assistive technology? Why is accessibility still treated as an afterthought?

At Neurodiversity Academy Australia, we’re passionate about creating learning environments where neurodivergent people can succeed—not just by talking about inclusion, but by encouraging organisations to build it into the technology they use every day. Because if the learning platform isn’t inclusive, neither is the learning experience. (neurodiversityacademy.com)

It’s time to stop ticking the inclusion box and start designing systems that genuinely work for everyone.

Sometimes the biggest lesson about neuro-inclusion happens before the event even begins.

I’m often invited to attend or speak at neuro-inclusion events, but I’m surprised by how often the registration process, communication, or sign-up experience isn’t actually inclusive.

If we truly want neurodivergent people to participate, inclusion needs to start from the very first interaction—not just once people walk through the door.

The small details matter. Clear communication, simple registration processes, accessible information, and reducing unnecessary barriers can make all the difference.

Neuro-inclusion isn’t just something we talk about. It’s something we need to build into every step of the experience.

Have you ever had this happen?

Someone tells you their name, you remember it perfectly… then the moment comes to introduce them on a podcast, webinar, or in front of a group, and suddenly your brain freezes. 😅

It’s not that I’ve forgotten their name. It’s almost like the pressure of saying it out loud makes me second-guess myself, and before I know it, I’ve completely butchered it.

I don’t know if it’s a neurodivergent thing, performance anxiety, or something lots of people experience, but I’d love to know I’m not the only one.

Does this ever happen to you?

Sometimes I have the weirdest dreams. 😅

Not all of them are strange, but every now and then I’ll dream that I’m hanging out with people I knew years ago… people I honestly didn’t even like.

Then I wake up thinking, Why on earth was I spending time with them in my dream? 🤔

It’s funny how our brains can pull people from the past back into our dreams, even when we’d never choose to spend time with them in real life. I can’t be the only one this happens to!

Does anyone else have dreams like this?

I’ve noticed something lately on social media… the same poses, the same videos, the same ideas, over and over again.

I’ll be scrolling and think, “Hang on… didn’t I just see someone else do exactly this?”

I honestly don’t get it.

I spend a lot of time thinking about what I want to say and how I can create something that feels genuine and original. It’s not always easy, but that’s what makes creating rewarding.

Sure, it takes more effort to come up with your own ideas than it does to copy someone else, but I think people connect with authenticity far more than imitation.

I’d rather create something that’s uniquely mine than become another copy of someone else.

What do you think—has social media become a little too predictable?

Have you ever noticed this?

Lately the sun has been coming up a little earlier, so I’ve been waking up before my alarm. The frustrating part is that I don’t actually want to get up that early, so I lie there trying to fall back asleep… and nothing happens.

Then, just as my alarm is about to go off, I finally start drifting off to sleep. A few minutes later the alarm rings, and suddenly I’m exhausted.

It feels like my brain waits until the worst possible moment to fall asleep!

I’m curious… does anyone else experience this, or is it just me? I’d love to hear how you deal with it.

Today I took a trip to Bondi and spent some time walking through Waverley Cemetery. One of the highlights was finding Malcolm Young’s resting place.

As a lifelong AC/DC fan, it was a special moment to pay my respects to someone whose music inspired millions around the world. Standing there, taking in the incredible ocean views, you can understand why it’s such a peaceful place to rest.

It’s amazing how music can leave a legacy that continues to connect people long after someone is gone. 🎸⚡
