Keep an eye on this space.
We are in negotiations with a famous elderly woman who proposes to offer a Tea Party and chat to children.
Working Title for this incursion is Tea with Mother Hubbard.
It will involve storytime about Mrs H's children, many of whom have had Nursery Rhymes written about them.
(Polly, Sukie, Georgie Porgie. Jack and Jill and others) followed by an elegant Tea Party.

Remember when we had usherettes at picture theatres? They’d collect your ticket, check your seat number and when the lights went out, take you to your seat with a torch. Usherettes always wore a uniform and were an important part of the picture theatre experience. Back in those days it was nothing for at least a dozen people to be working at the picture theatre every night of the week. There would be the manager, a projectionist – sometimes two, somebody selling tickets, usherettes/ushers, people in the candy bar, tray boys and girls and a cleaner. Going to the pictures was an outing and a special place also for courting couples (always in the back row). Photo; SA Showbiz Memories. Want to relive the memories of those carefree days? All the photos and memories of the era in my latest book here: https://rememberwhenshop.com.au/products/book-photos-and-memories-of-australia-from-the-1970s-author-signed-copy

Boy, doesn't this old thing bring back lots of memories! "Remember when you got new school shoes, Dad would add an extra sole and heel (and tack on some toe and heel caps) using his shoe last like this. The shoe last was something used in every home back in the day but these days is probably mainly kept as a door stopper! Can you remember back that far? Well your Dad or Grandad might, so I've written a book full of photos and memories of those years.
