Welcome to the official page for Firbank Old Grammarians' Association (FOGA) World War II saw many changes but the spirit remained.

The Firbank Old Grammarians’ Association (FOGA) was founded in November 1918 and grew rapidly during the 20s and 30s. In an era when few women were part of the workforce, thriving literary, dramatic and sporting clubs contributed to the vitality of the Association. Old Grammarians continue to meet in order to foster friendships made at school and work to support the School and its traditions in various ways.

Congratulations to Joan Turnour (1943) on celebrating her remarkable 100th birthday on 18 August.

Principal, Jenny Williams and Alumni Manager, Amanda Webster recently had the pleasure of visiting Joan and hearing stories of her time at Firbank. Joan reflected on the significant impact Firbank had on her education, particularly her experience in the boarding house, which helped shape her future.

Joan is currently featured in the special Shrine exhibition, Remembering Australia’s Military Women, which honours 200 women who have served Australia in times of war and peace. During World War II, Joan served as a codebreaker for the Australian and American armies, contributing to an important chapter in Australia’s military history.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Joan’s achievements, her service, and her lifelong connection to the Firbank community.

To the Firbank Class of 1996,

What a fantastic Friday evening we enjoyed together last week. Thank you to everyone who joined us for your 30 Year Reunion.

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces reconnecting, reminiscing, and picking up right where you left off. The night was filled with laughter, friendship, and genuine connection, reminding us all of the special bonds formed during your school years.

Thank you for being part of such a memorable celebration.

A special Firbank welcome back to Hannah Kostros (Class of 2012)!
Fresh from two years with the Landestheater Opera Company in Linz, Austria, Hannah joined students from our three campuses to perform at St Andrew's during our Celebration of Song.
We were thrilled to have her back on stage and sharing her talent with our community.
