IKIGAI A reason to wake up every morning

Samurai systems available at Qi through Seibukaikan.

The Japanese concept “Kaizen” (改善) translates to “continuous improvement.” It is the relentless, daily erosion of imperfection through micro-adjustments that aggregate into absolute dominance.

Waiting for a singular, monumental breakthrough leaves the spirit stagnant in the intervals. Chasing the grand, cinematic leap usually ends in a sudden flash of momentum that burns out before the foundation can set. True transformation is never born from a sporadic lightning strike; it is forged in the steady, compounding heat of constant modification.

Kaizen is the relentless shaving away of imperfection by a single fraction of a millimeter every single day.

No detail is too microscopic to escape scrutiny. The focus narrows entirely to the immediate horizon, isolating the next repetition, the next hour, or the next layout, demanding that it be marginally superior to the one before it. When you ruthlessly optimize the smallest fractions of your ex*****on, the cumulative effect becomes an organic force that completely restructures your reality.

Sudden bursts of effort inevitably decay under their own unsustainable weight; the path belongs entirely to the compounding momentum of an uninterrupted ascent.

Do not hunt for the giant leap.

Refine the millimeter, and let the compounding weight crush the distance.

We invite you to join us in the new year for our January Introductory Series! Contact us today to register.

-Sunday, January 4th @ 11am (In-person, Temple): “The Oneness of Life and its Environment”

We often underestimate the impact of our actions on the world around us. However, the Buddhist principle of ‘Esho Funi’ teaches us about the oneness of life and its environment, and the influence that we give and receive through that relationship. Come learn together about the positive effects of Buddhist practice in our lives as individuals, and in the world at large. As we develop the peace and stability of our minds it surely supports the peace and stability of our environment.

-Wednesday, January 14th @ 7pm (Online): “Karma is Action”

Did you know that ‘karma’ is the Sanskrit word for ‘action?’ And that karma is actually changeable? Come learn more about the often misunderstood teaching of karma, and how we can proactively change our karma through the accumulation of wisdom that comes with Buddhist practice. Please feel free to ask questions and share experiences as we deepen our understanding of karma together.

-Sunday, January 18th @ 2pm (In-person, Temple): “The Ten Worlds”

Do you tend to dwell in a state of anger? Or more so in a state of joy? The Buddhist principle of the ‘Ten Worlds’ describes the fluctuation of life states that we experience from moment to moment by defining them into ten life conditions or ‘worlds.’ Let’s learn together how chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo to the Gohonzon enables us to manifest the life condition of Buddhahood in our lives.

-Wednesday, January 28th @ 7pm (Online): “How to Maintain a Stable Mind in an Unstable World

We all have dreams and goals that we wish to reach in our lifetime, but it may feel like our busy lives and challenging circumstances are holding us back from achieving them. In this meeting, we learn about the significance of actualizing a stable mind through Buddhist practice. By developing stability of mind we can flexibly navigate the instability of life and expand our capacity to reach our greatest potential.

We look forward to seeing you there!
