🗞️💥 You may not know that there is draft legislation proposing stricter regulation on small food producers, home growers, community gardens and school vegetable programs like our own!⁠
⁠
Whilst these regulations are important in some circumstances, they will require complex administration & reporting, imposing significant costs and burden on those effected.⁠ 💸⁠
⁠
🥒🥗 As Tasmanian families experience the cost of living crisis, these regulations discourage food donation and risk community food security. We believe harvesting produce for education and charity that supports vulnerable Tasmanian communities should be 100% exempt from red tape.⁠

Our Program Managers sit at the intersection, navigating the space between programming, infrastructure, students, educators, school administrators, and our internal team. The aim is to ensure that each school receives responsive support that recognises local community and context.⁠
