I’M GONNA SAY IT… working with under-18s and breathwork needs careful consideration. 🫶
Young people deserve more than simply being placed into an adult program or with someone that has limited specialised training. They deserve thoughtful preparation, genuine consent, appropriate involvement from parents/carers, and support that considers their age and individual needs.
Even as a qualified Social Worker with around 15 years’ experience—including experience overseeing staff working within child and adolescent mental health programs—I’m committed to making sure AAT approaches this work diligently and responsibly.
At AAT, young people aged 14–17 can access private 9D Breathwork sessions, but there are some important conditions:
• Parent/guardian consent is required
• A parent/guardian must be present
• The young person must WANT to participate — parental consent alone isn’t enough
• Suitability is considered before proceeding
• Preparation, support and integration matter just as much as the experience itself
We’ve also developed another option: our Parent-Guided 9D Support Package.
This is a 7-week supported program for parents and carers, giving you professional guidance while you support your young person at home. It includes app access, personalised planning, regular reviews, integration guidance and ongoing professional support.
Investment: $444
📅 Current intake closes 19 October
📅 Bookings reopen 16 November
This isn’t about rushing young people into big experiences. It’s about creating options, maintaining appropriate safeguards, listening to the young person’s voice, and supporting families to approach breathwork with care.
Because when we’re working with young people, how we do the work matters.
