Young Philosophers in Action

Congratulations to six Bridgetown Primary School students who were selected to attend a special philosophy event at Geographe Primary School. Thank you to the parents/grandparents who transported their child to Busselton.

The event provided students with an exciting opportunity to think deeply, explore big questions, share their ideas and listen respectfully to different perspectives. We are proud of the thoughtful way our students represented Bridgetown Primary School and embraced this valuable learning experience.

Book Week at Bridgetown Primary School

Bridgetown Primary School celebrated Book Week with a colourful parade featuring students from Kindy to Year 6 dressed as their favourite book characters. Students also had fun testing their literary knowledge in three exciting Book Week quizzes!

A big thank you to our parents, grandparents and extended family members for helping create the wonderful costumes and joining us to watch the parade. Your support made this celebration of books, reading and imagination extra special!

Rainy-Day Fun in Kindy!

A little rain doesn’t stop our Kindy students from enjoying outdoor play! Dressed in their wet-weather gear, generously purchased by our wonderful P&C, the children had a fantastic time splashing, exploring and learning in the rain.

Outdoor play in all kinds of weather encourages curiosity, builds confidence and provides wonderful sensory experiences. A big thank you to our P&C for helping our youngest students embrace every opportunity for learning and fun—whatever the weather!

Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes

Celebrating Science Week with SCINEMA
A big thank you to the Shire of Bridgetown-Greenbushes for providing our students with the wonderful SCINEMA experience at the Bridgetown Town Hall.
To celebrate Science Week, students from Years 2–6 walked to the Town Hall to watch a selection of engaging short science films. The films sparked curiosity, encouraged new thinking and provided an entertaining way for students to explore the fascinating world of science.
We greatly appreciate the Shire’s support in providing this valuable learning experience for our students.

Blackwood Youth Action

Connecting with Bridgetown Youth Action
A big thank you to Blackwood Youth Action for visiting our Year 5 and 6 students on Monday to deliver valuable workshops about bullying.
Students explored important topics, including online bullying and how deliberately excluding others can also be a form of bullying. The workshops encouraged students to reflect on respectful relationships, inclusion and the importance of seeking support.
BYA also generously provided a sausage sizzle lunch. It was a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with BYA and learn more about the support available to young people in our community.

Pre-Kindy Fun at Bridgetown Primary School
Our Pre-Kindy children had lots of fun painting, digging in the sand and creating imaginative stories while playing with the farm animals. These engaging activities provide wonderful opportunities for children to explore, develop new skills and make friends through play.
Pre-Kindy sessions are held every second Wednesday and are open to all children aged 3–4 years. Younger siblings are also welcome, along with parents and grandparents.
